Rey has grown up living by her instincts. She uses the Force exactly how Obi-Wan states to do so.

This is an interesting point, but again I think it applies more to her fighting/flying skills. I can see the merit of all the arguments people have made. I just think the ultimate reason is that JJ wanted her to 'level up' fast because he knew it would make for a more exciting story. And it did!

Practice what though? We only see him train for a couple of minutes. And they had hardly any time together.

Reaching out with his mind? Feeling the Force? Doing exactly what he did in the ice cave? I'm not sure why he couldn't do that alone. His commitment to becoming a Jedi seems to suggest that he would, and his actions in the cave suggest that he has. It seems unlikely that's the first time he's ever thought to try using the Force in all the time that's passed since ANH.

I like the books idea. I imagine Obi-Wan had them hidden in his anal cavity until just before he left the Falcon to turn off the shield generator.

Size matters not! :shifty:

There really aren't.

Explain the neutering of Snoke in each subsequent movie boiling down to “ oh he was just a puppet. No big deal”

TFA- A mysterious new master for a new trilogy.

The Last Jedi- cut down in a humiliating way that lessens his threat level

Rise of skywalker- just a clone controlled by Palpatine

This video pretty much sums up the problems with this movie

The movies are about Rey and Kylo, not Snoke. He’s just Kylo’s master and someone to betray, he’s not important to the story. Star Wars is a story about people, not a documentary.

Nothing you said in this post is correct.

1. People overestimated Snoke's importance.

2. See point #1

3. Snoke is not a clone; he's an artificially created human and the 'copies' we saw on Exogol were the 'prototypes'

There are very few movies out there that would survive the amount of scrutiny we place on these particular films.
Which is why "fandom" is burning me out. No matter what, there is no satisfaction. Just an insatiable hunger for the next thing, all the while trashing the last thing.

It is becoming extremely difficult to take any of this "criticism" (in quotes because it is nitpicking, as you note) seriously or that individuals actually enjoy the movies they are so critical of.

Please note, this isn't directed at anyone in particular. It is just a general fatigue at the current state of tribalism within franchises that I used to enjoy.

It does burn one out to a degree. Because there is no happiness in anything anymore.

They introduced new Force powers, and people complained. If they had stood pat, likely the same people would've complained.

It’s a bunch of whiny children upset that it isn’t catering to them exactly the way they want. A normal person would just stop watching, but they want to ruin it for others and convince everyone that their mind numbingly dull opinions are scientific fact because their fragile egos can’t handle being wrong about anything, even personal tastes. They have no joy in life, just misery and they want everyone to be as miserable as them. I don’t even consider them fans, they’re just assholes.

The laugh that I get is all the powers people are complaining about have been explored in other material. Which apparently was just fine until it was done in a movie...?:sigh:
can we not disparage fan communities by over-exaggerating the prevelancy of loud, negative voices?
I would love to, except my experience has not been great, especially in the past ten years, no matter the community. I've been online, in fan groups and the like. Positivity slowly seeped out.

I also dislike the virulence seen within the fandom over recent projects, but I don't really agree with this assessment of why that's happening. The Mandalorian is doing extremely well, especially - at least as far as I've seen - among those fans who hated the new movies. I think it's less people getting angry over anything new and more about getting angry because they were no longer being considered the main audience.

Costuming groups ban people who are only there to complain. They also don’t tolerate the more recent trend of sexism and bigotry.

Yeah, Force healing didn't surprise me at all watching the film. Not sure where I picked up the idea at, but it was in my head well before the sequel trilogy existed.

Thus far, not my experience. The Mandalorian feels an exception, not the rule, and even that is seeing detractors.

As well Force Projection and the Emperor surviving (Dark Empire; the Jedi Path) as well as opening portals in the Force causing a big blue explosion...it's so weird, like the production team was more aware of Star Wars lore than they are given credit for.
