Star Wars:The Clone Wars S3......so far

Yeah, that's wonderfully hilarious, Set Harth, but if you want me to take your other posts seriously you're going to have to, you know, actually articulate a point. Otherwise, your posts seem needlessly and endlessly contrarian.

"It's in there". Get a pointer on that point!

As in contradictory of another point?

So there really was a point after all?

You're asked to clarify and all you can do is post a link back to the very same page on which ... you were asked to clarify? You aren't by any chance, related to Darth_Vortex are you?

Lucas raped me. Not my childhood, mind you. He physically raped me. And I felt something flowing thru me, but it weren't the Force.:scream:

^ This is why I can never take you seriously. Were you attempting to refer to what I said by re-posting or is that too egotistical of me to think that? :)

All the crimes of ROTJ were actually committed by the PT. That's right, not only did the PT films feature a fart-smelling Gungan, they also achieved time travel. Also, there was no "us vs. them" in the OT; Yoda's real objective was to start a book club and a Jedi/Sith Kumbaya sing-a-long. Dissenters are missing the point, and if that doesn't work, they don't actually have a point. So far, so good... :techman:

Because this thread has apparently stalled out and become rather tiresome, I'll just repost the link to the kickass new trailer where it will be easier for me to find it. :D

EW.com posted a new trailer for the rest of the Clone Wars season. According to Force.net the trailer is being shown as part of the Savage Opress theatrical screenings.

Any spoilery speculations what the ending means?

It's too early in the five-season run for Ahsoka to go Dark Side on us. However, is it canonically possible for someone to get a little Dark Sidey, like catching a cold you recover from? I hope it isn't just lame misdirection (more brain worms).

Sorry Temis but you're a little late...you must've missed where we already discussed this already? A few pages back...and yeah Set Harth's antics kind of derailed the thread.

Damn. that trailer was killer. just got caught up on season 3 last night and was really impressed with the last couple eps. they really got me looking forward to the next batch. i really want to see what they do with Ahsoka in the coming eps and seasons. a lot of potential there. and it finally dawned on me last night they have been aging the characters. nice.

now, it's time to vape with the christmas bud. chill y'all

I'm pretty sure that the Ahoska thing is a outcome of the visions she has been receiving and probably a foreshadowing of what will happen to Anakin. Like I pointed before Filoni stated that this season will start exploring the themes and motifs of Revenge of the Sith particularly with Anakin. I'm gonna go on a limb and suggest that Ahsoka is mind controlled or under the influence somehow.

Under the influence of Christmas bud? :D

I wonder what happens to a Jedi if the Council starts to think, "Uh oh, this one is getting a little darksidey for our tastes. Time to ship her off to the farm for failed Jedi." If Anakin thinks that might happen to Ahsoka, he'll lie to the Council about observing any untoward behavior such as coming at him with a lightsaber and try to "cure" her on his own. If there are degrees to something like that, and the possibility of "remission," he might think he's succeeded for a while...and his efforts to cure her might take him into dangerous places and knowledge.

I still don't know alot, but I think in the EU we have seen characters start to lean toward the Dark Side, only to be turned back to the Light by somebody else. I don't know if any of them have ever gone as far as attacking a fellow Jedi though.

That's probably what it is. Not more brain worms, but the same idea.

Palpatine probably has a whole barrel full of brain worms.

It's almost as if they looked at what they already had in the can for Season 3 and were like "we'd better try to offset this".:alienblush:

Thanks, that's interesting information! :bolian: However, I get the feeling Lucas doesn't really worry about following the EU, PT, OT or anything else, since it's become abundantly clear to me that it's all a big, fat contradictory mess that could use a thorough housecleaning anyway. :rommie:

The more creative liberties that The Clone Wars takes, the better, IMO. The EU is hardly a sacred cow. And as long as the series doesn't in some way completely contradict the films, then the more latitude it has to be its own creative force, the better.

And as long as the series doesn't in some way completely contradict the films,

Too late, it already has, in its depiction of Anakin. But even then you can kinda tilt your head and squint your eyes and decide that the PT simply wasn't complete and left out important scenes that more fully define Anakin as a heroic and likable guy, not a whiny, petulant punk. I'm willing to just go with whatever amendments Lucas chooses to make, as long as he keeps on doing the right kind of thing.
