Star Wars Rebels Season Three (spoilers)

Try executing an idea that doesn't exist. See where that gets you.

Also, "idea" greatly undersells Lucas's contribution since his "ideas" also include the method of execution.
He didn't wave his hands vaguely and say "now go make one about a planet called Mortis and be sure to include ghosts, gargoyles and a pointy beard man with wings!" then leave the rest up for others to figure out. It's a collaborative creative effort that began and ended with George Lucas.
Deal with it.

Thats exactly what they did IIRC, the Rebels team gave them the base model.

I doubt they'll use ILM's model, it is too detailed for the art style they use in the show, they'd have to beef everything up to match as well.

It's less about art style than it is about render times and polygon budgets. That amount of geometry packed into that thing is an order of magnitude more memory intensive. Same reason they can't just use RO's Star Destroyers. Just as with TCW, the style they chose for the show is one that's comparable with the technical limitations of their budget and schedule.

Reverend, you like what you like and I like what I like. That is not a fight; that is individuality. The Clone Wars and Rebels (and TFA) have made me a bigger fan of Star Wars than I was before. There's no reason to spin that into a negative.

It's got nothing to do with personal preference. I'm just calling your false presumptions and back-handed mischaracterisations for what they are.

'Rebels', sure, but TCW was never "Filloni's Star Wars". If you can't deal with the fact that Lucas was mostly responsible for something you like to the extent that you have to pretend otherwise, that's your own lookout.

Well Filoni said in yesterday's panel, that brining back Darth Maul was mostly him and the team, Lucas basically just threw the idea into is lap and told him to figure it out. Lucas did give some input, like the spider legs.

That's kind of the vibe I'm getting from these new photos of Rex.
Dave Filoni said in an interview that he wants Rex to be that bearded trooper on Endor, he believes he is. Whether or not LucasFilm lets him write that into canon has yet to be seen.

That concept art is just for Season 4. I wouldn't be surprised if they designed him that way on purpose as a tease.

Which were the stupidest part of the whole thing.

Interesting... she looks a lot older there (higher montrals under the hood, longer lekku) than she was when she first appeared on the show. Did they decide to go younger than originally planned, or had they not yet settled on the growth rate for Togruta features?

Actually no, originally the series was going to start with her as a child being found.

That is suppose to be a drawing of her as a kid.

Rebels won a Saturn for best Animated Series/Film on Television.

Well, since their only competition were two over the hill cartoons (Family Guy and Simpsons), a netflix kids show that gets mixed reviews, a animated foreign film (its on netflix as an original, so that makes a film released theatrically in France qualify for a TV award?) and Bojack Horseman, I'm not surprised Rebels won. It didn't really have competition.
