Needs more antennas and blue skin.
I remain cautiously optimistic about this. I enjoyed the character in Rogue One, and while I certainly didn't feel compelled to get more of his story, I look forward to seeing where they take this. (I'm mostly in for K-2SO, who I adore.) I'm hoping they really lean into the morally compromised, righteous spy who may no longer be a good person under all the dirty tricks vibe that Cassian gave off in the film.
Your mileage may vary but I consider Hispanic peoples as brown/non-white. In which case, it's kinda cool to see a multi-million dollar project without a "mightey whitey" in the lead.

I see a difference between generally knowing how something turns out, and knowing the specific circumstances.Literally the first thing we were told about Star Wars is that all of this happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Which means EVERYONE is already long dead and gone to dust. So by this asinine logic; there's no point watching ANY Star Wars anything because we already know it all already happened and thus has no narrative value...
ENT was a Trek prequel and we knew they're 10 years before the Federation, and just six years away from the Romulan War. But the fates of Archer, T'Pol and the NX-01 were complete unknowns. For all we know, Enterprise could've been destroyed before the Romulan War.
The Mandalorian takes place a long time ago but it is at the cutting edge of the timeline for its characters. We don't know anyone's fate. And in Rogue One, Andor's death was a complete surprise until we saw the film ending.
But now we know the specific circumstances of his death, and that it's gotta be soon because of his age. By comparison, Kenobi is still middle-aged by the early Imperial era, and we know he's only gonna die as a ripe old man.
Obviously, my reasoning may be flawed. I might be trying to give a rational reason to an emotional reaction.

OK, I'll admit it, it took me quite a while to get that. Getting more and more senile by the day...
For me Rogue One was the Worst star wars movie, even behind Attack of the Clones.. Didn't like it in theatres that much, my opinion improved slightly on rewatching, but not much. I do like K2SO, and Andor was.. well forgetable, didn't really care for him.
Now, saying that, I will give this a chance, while the movies have been hit or miss, series have in whole been quite good. I like the "Spy" series vibe of it, so yep. I'll watch.
Maybe they'll do a crossover with Lando series?

Some Hispanic People are white (via Spain) others are a mix of Spanish (or Portuguese) and Native Central American (or Native South American), the percentages is what makes most of the confusion. Then there's places like the Dominican Republic where you have Hispanics of mostly African descent. Diego Luna's Mother is English/Scottish, and his father clearly favors the Spain side of the equation. Diego Luna is white.
Not to go down the rabbit hole, but if Luna is mixed-race, then that makes him non-white, too.
Some Italians and Spaniards can be naturally blond and light-skinned but they remain Romanic. The easiest dividing line is roughly along the Alps, with Germanic, Celtic and Slavic people north, and Graeco-Romanic people south of that line. Again, I might be wrong, but appearing white doesn't change a person's genetic makeup.
Oooh, did I just slip? Feel like I'm standing on very thin ice here.

Alan Tudyk reports that, despite his being a part of the promotional engine for the show, K2SO will not be appearing... in the first season. But, there is a plan in place for him to appear later down the line.

Well now my small enthusiasm for the show has dwindled. K-2SO was the one thing I was looking forward to. While I loved Rogue One, Cassian wasn’t a standout character. Now I have to watch a whole season before K might appear if it gets more seasons at all? Sigh. I’ll still give it a chance though.
