Indeed. That could have potential.Yeah I think a natural result of that could be thatSpock wants to be more Vulcan than ever because the galaxy needs Vulcans. This could precipitate his breakup with Uhura.
One MU movie could be a blast, sure. MU is good in small doses, but two hours would be okay.I think it would be interesting to see a Mirror Universe movie. I know it is yet another alternate reality, but it would still make for some good space battles.
I had posted elsewhere that something involving the MU could be very interesting. My thought was to expand on the Enterprise version from their pair of episodes. Perhaps, the Defiant from the prime universe, somehow returns to this reality and gets everyone thinking. It would also be interesting to get the Tholians or Gorn involved. I just don't think we've got to see enough of either species. Also, what about the Breen. Are they even a known species during TOS timeline?Indeed. I'm pretty surethe reason JJ et al decided to have a Spock-Uhura romance is because their character arc for Spock is "how he learns to trust his feelings and embrace his hew-mon side." Without that, what's the point of tossing those characters in bed together? Just to annoy purists? Nah gotta be more to it than that. So I predict a rocky road for our lovebirds but love of course must triumph in the end, because otherwise, Spock's character arc does really go anywhere, does it?

And I know this wouldn't happen except on TV, but I'd really love to see an MU Spock story - what happens after Kirk & the others go home?
What I want is expressed in the closing monologue.
Strange New Worlds
New Life Forms
New Civilizations.
Where no one has gone before.
Abrams is not a lock to direct the next film
http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/06/2...urtzman-and-roberto-orci-consider-the-sequel/the writers considering whether to deal with “the exploration sci-fi plot where the unknown and nature itself is somehow an adversary or the villain model.” In other words, they’re working out whether the crew will explore “strange new worlds” because that’s their directive as members of Starfleet or because some intergalactic madman is trying to blow everything up all over again.
Wait, are you agreeing, or disagreeing?![]()
