Star Trek Vegas Convention 2011

^^^Since you mention costumes though, anyone reading the thread who does have access to a costume and is going to the con should be aware: they're going for another world record this year with most people in one place in Star Trek costumes.

They also have a costume contest where you can win prizes.

That's great to hear, even if I can't get dressed up ; I love seeing other folks costumes. Our local Calgary Comic Con had some outstanding costumes by fans this year , I bet the Vegas star trek convention is going to be equally exciting.

Is anyone on this board planning to dress up ? If I could do any costume from Trek I'd be a Ferengi for sure.

^^^We're not doing anything fancy - just uniforms. My son is going for the TWOK uniform and I have opted for the TOS captain's alternate green wrap tunic.

I'm hitting up the convention on my way home this year, and my costume is Captain Picard's alternate uniform (the grey-blue undershit with red jacket).

Great costume choice, that is one of my favorite uniforms for Picard.

Everyone here has inspired me, I ordered a blue tunic uniform from the new movie , have some pants and shoes to pair with it already. One more costume to help set the new record, and something fun to wear for me

eta: ooops. I just realized this is the nashville con schedule.

You're talking about Vegas. In any case, when Vegas schedule goes up, you'll be able to see when events occur and be able to gauge when they'll end, bearing in mind that autograph lines and photo op lines can get pretty long.

Have fun! that looks like a good one, you'll have to tell us all how it was . So far, I've settled on the 'Rat Pack' photo op, the Nana Visitor and René Auberjonois photo op. DS9 was my favorite of all the series and this way I get photos with Lots of the cast .

I got all my tickets too. Yay! So excited and can't thinking of anything else either. I have two uniforms. One is the typical TOS ladies dress and boots and the other is the ladies tunic and pants option from TOS. Hooray!
