Why not?I noticed that, and it seems too early for that, unless they are retconning the D7 to be the Federation designation for the K'Tinga?

I mean, I would imagine so.Why not?
The Klingons called it a D7 (in Klingon 'Day Sech') in DSC Season 2.Why not?
Because Roddenberry said it was new, in TMP. That may not be much, but really. Why?Why not?
Just going to say it: missed opportunity that Spock didn't reference 3D chess by expressing his desire to ascend to his "queen's level" (i.e. be what he considers a man worthy of Christine).
What does canon say?Because Roddenberry said it was new, in TMP. That may not be much, but really. Why?
It's one of those things where you ask "Who knows what a K'T'Inga is? The people who know what a D-7 is and what a K'T'Inga is. Anyone else? Nope. There is pretty much nobody who sees the TOS Klingon ship and thinks of it by that name.
So there is no upside to using it and all downside.
Was that in movie dialogue? If not, it isn't canon.Because Roddenberry said it was new, in TMP.
It did in Enterprise Season 4. The Defiant's plaque says Constitution, not Starship."Canon" also says that the word "Constitution" never appeared on a Starship Class bridge
Yes, finally canon.Well, "canon" says that Kt'inga is a word that the SNW writers pulled out of their butts because it's never been said before.
"Canon" also says that the word "Constitution" never appeared on a Starship Class bridge, but here we are. C
There we have it then. The Defiant was a Constitution class and the Enterprise was not. So I don't know what the hell SNW is doing. It did in Enterprise Season 4. The Defiant's plaque says Constitution, not Starship.
Yes it is. It appears on the Enterprise's plaque in one of the TOS movies.and the Enterprise was not
I forgot about that:And Picard himself recognized the Enterprise as Constitution class in the holodeck with Scotty in "Relics".
Aggravating fan assumptions. There we have it then. The Defiant was a Constitution class and the Enterprise was not. So I don't know what the hell SNW is doing.
