Wasn't the fellowship only for three months? They could easily vault that in the space of one episode. Season 3 premiere set immediately after season two finale, then ep two set three months later. My only downside to it was the heralding of Chapel leaving the series (hopefully NOT for good).
It's amazing how the same melody works so differently for I'm Ready and I'm the X.
Bush singing "A distant dream becoming REAL" doesn't have the same THUNK that Peck does when he sings "I can't believe how wrong I've BEEN" and his voice drops down into full Spock. They pitched it so perfectly.
And yes, it's SO much fun to sing.
It is difficult, I agree. I can stay with everyone except Celia Rose Gooding, mainly when she moves up a step during the transition in the coda from "Keep Us Connected." At that point, I just have to take a backup harmony position because damn.![]()
It's not super clear but you can see them being pushed "off stage" by the blast.Rewatching that final number again. When the rift is destroyed, because of the timing of their course/s and the whiteout of the explosion, it makes it almost look like the Klingon ships are destroyed.![]()
Funny that they were doing a little waltz with the Enterprise...
I think the main issue is that none of the songs were that catchy. No “ear worms” for me.
I liked how the backround bridge crew were playing their consoles like musical instruments as well.We get signposted to this earlier when Ortega and Mitchell get freaked out by how their movements are co-ordinated.
You gotta carry that weight a long time...I agree that they weren't catchy...but they were all quite beautiful.
I'm not a music aficionado or anything, but for me that carries some weight.
Well, Klingons do like to sing... just on their own terms. We needed more singing Klingons.
And in the middle of negotiations the Klingons break down. You gotta carry that weight a long time...
TBonz said:Some of you are real optimists. I think the Christine-Spock romance is as dead as the human Korby.
The finale gave some hope.
Well, we knew it couldn't last due to TOS. That's the problem with prequels: they're limited to future canon.

Potentially.
