Yeah, I'm surprised that there was so much "Bigotry" from T'Pril's mother.T'Pril reminds me so much of Enterprise's vulcan's back in the day. 100 years later and there are still vulcans who are racist against humans.
The irony: T'Pring claims to love Spock and accept his human side, then punishes him for a human mistake that he made.
Am I the only one getting the vibe that the father is "Whooped" using a human term. The costume designer calls her Tea-pringMaybe because he had to bring tea...?
Clearly Vulcans are not supposed to show emotions so openly. She didn't want Spock to be human-like, but her own husband is. (Note: Trellium-induced behavior is not typical, and pointing that out is not moving goalposts)
I didn't see it that way. She was hurt by the fact that after everything they'd experienced he didn't trust her. We, the viewing audience may have seen his reluctance to share was likely more altruistic - not wanting to put an additional burden on her - but she saw a lack of trust. I also thought she looked suspicious of him and Chapel disappearing into the bathroom. The irony: T'Pring claims to love Spock and accept his human side, then punishes him for a human mistake that he made.
I mean, yeah, but we also know it's kind of doomed too. (Tragic romance is the best kind of romance.)well fans of Spock/Chapel are probably squealing their little hearts out from that ending.
Mark Lenard was only 7 years older than Nimoy when he played Sarek. It's kind of weird that Mia Kirshner (48 y/o) is playing Ethan Peck's Mother (37 y/o).
Not technically impossible, but still kind of odd given Ethan Peck's age.
Sean Connery was 58 when he portrayed Harrison Ford's (46) father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It's kind of weird that Mia Kirshner (48 y/o) is playing Ethan Peck's Mother (37 y/o).

Well... Yeah!
A quibble. Spock implies himan emotions are stronger than Vulcan ones, the implication has always been Vulcan emotions are far more intense than human ones hence their need to suppress them. But here Spock says human emotions are stronger.
Spock and Chapel in the corridor post her interview call. Damn. The chemistry between these two. It's so strong I want canon to be violated so they can beg together.
The question is what made Christine so sappy she made a nine year old cringe. So the question is what happens that causes Chapel to dump Spock for Roger Korby?
