I feel sorry for the kid in the beginning of the episode. Spock's life is worth more than his. We're heading into "destiny/chosen one" territory usually held by that other star franchise.I find it funny that Pike gives his reason: not changing the timeline and killing innocents.
Everyone wants him to tinker with time anyway.
and also many many other people in a warI feel sorry for the kid in the beginning of the episode. Spock's life is worth more than his. We're heading into "destiny/chosen one" territory usually held by that other star franchise.
Everything is fine.Star Trek: Picard also doesn't look like the alternate futures seen in "All Good Things," "The Visitor," or "Endgame."
If you want to pretend TOS always looked like SNW, that's fine. If you want to pretend TOS looks different due to changes in the timeline, that's fine. If you want to pretend SNW is a reboot, that's fine too.

Disco everyone had the delta and it always bugged meThat Starbases and Outposts have different Starfleet insignia? Yeah, that's a nice touch.
That man would look sharp in a baggy t-shirt and tighty whiteys.Pike in tos movie uniform oh my he looks sharp
porbbly lol. I do like Kelvin pike though, he just doesnt get alot of screen timeWould this board have melted down if Future Pike wore his uniform from the Kelvinverse?![]()

I don’t know, age does make a difference. Kelvin Kirk is in his 20s, SNW/TOS Kirk is in his 30s. He probably mellowed out a bit like most guys.I like this Kirk better than Pine's (although I liked Pine's for being an alternate universe). I was afraid they'd go too over the top with "Kirk is reckless, Kirk is cocky, Kirk is a bad Han Solo pastiche."
This Kirk takes risk (it's' their business!), but he's also incredibly smart.
Also the implied respect and compatibility between Kirk and Spock before it was taken away, was amazing.![]()
I noticed that i thought it looked fineawww why did they have to go and add those little detail patterns to to monster maroons.
I hate those. Makes everything look over-designed.
They addressed it in the episode. Pike had contacted all the cadets who would’ve been there and they avoided it, so Pike was never in a situation where he had to rescue them. There was probably still a radiation leak, but it happened in an empty room.So this future happens because Pike doesn’t accept his promotion to fleet captain and stays on the Enterprise. I was a bit confused as how he stopped the accident. They say that it was cancelled but if that was so, it wouldn’t have happened to start with.
