Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

No worries. I had to re-read mine to make sure I wasn’t condescending or something like that.

I’ve just noticed looking at the eaglemoss Discovery ships closer than before, that at least two of them would fit way better as 24th century ship just with tweaks to the nacelles.

No word yet on Picard ships. Why is that?

Common sense and giving it a few seconds thought, it probably has something to do with the Pandemic that is affecting people throughout the globe and meaning lots of trivial things (and not so trivial things) are being put on hold.

This. I don't think it is an indication one way or the other about the line.

Well.. It takes time to redo the 3d model, whenever there done with it.. I mean that feddy patrol ship was probably just finished a month ago.. But the mermaid was long ago.. Should at east have some first shots of it..

That’s been an article there for years.
Re-read that post. They didn't say the article was new.

They said they were at least a year out before Picard premiered. And then the world kinda ended so...

Even before the pandemic Ben Robinson was saying at least 2021 before any Picard models.

IIRC, Ben said they received the Picard files when the season finale aired. From getting the files to selling the model it takes 1 year, so the countdown began in March.

For what it’s worth, Eaglemoss received the first Discovery files before the start of the series. Then, Ben said sometimes when the team got the files, their time-stamp date was from the day before.

Boredom and a little overtime money are a dangerous combination for me, cause it tends to lead to me ordering ships online, either off the site or eBay. I'm still waiting on the ones I ordered from someone in the UK, but in the meantime, I just ordered the shuttle set #2 off the Eaglemoss website. (At least with them, I get a tracking number).

If that bundle of set #1 and #2 was available, I'd probably get that, but set #1 has been out of stock for at least a couple months now. It's not that big a deal. Given the choice, I'd definitely pick #2 over #1, because, unlike #1, I never had any of those ships in Micro Machine form as a kid. Although, if I get the chance, I'll probably get #1 later. Sets #3 and #4 don't really interest me, but there's a couple in #5 I'd like.

Is there any information on where Eaglemoss got the name for one of the Section 31 classes? FYI - I am referring to the Nimrod-class.
That one is named after the Nimrod aircraft that was used by the RAF as a patrol vehicle.
