I’d wager that non-Federation ships will be low in priority early on, given how Fed ships in the other collections sell better.

But I’d like to be proven wrong.
Oh, I agree, it's likely to be 80% Fed or something; likely also with a focus on newer T6's to try and boost the ingame sales at the same time. I just think some of Cryptic's best designs have actually been in the non-Fed line, with some of the lesser-known races like the Voth and also with the Romulans. Also, there are a lot of variants of the same basic mold of ship for the Feds, which I don't see as interesting for the physical market. It'll be interesting which ones they pick.

This really is getting ridiculous!!

I feel fortunate to only have had a hickup once - leaving me with 2 extra copies of the U.S.S. Pasteur for free - probably the upside of just ordering the ones I want from the online store. They're wonderful little ships, but I'd need another house if I'd taken out the full subscription.

I'm hoping they include at least one NPC ship, the ECS Kobayashi Maru. An excellent design by Thomas Marrone.

So, Ben says the refitted and repainted Enterprise E from Nemesis won't be made as it is too similar to the regular one... right before announcing the Enterprise from The Cage as a separate issue!? Not to mention that they also released 5 or 6 different Miranda variants as well as repaints of the Constitution Class and Constitution Class refit. Oh, and since the EM Enterprise E models are based on the Lombardi model they're whiter than the screen-used version from First Contact and Insurrection, so the dark paintjob from Nemesis would actually look even more different. I really don't get it.

I get it. At that scale, the difference would be the phaser strips on the nacelle pylons, and maybe a couple barely-visible bumps for the torpedo launchers behind the bridge. The change in sweep of the pylons is almost unnoticeable, and they put a seam behind the saucer shuttlebay, so that obliterates the added curve there. The time to do the NEM version is when they did the -E in the first place. It'd be like expecting them to make a 4-foot version of the -D, or the kit model of the refit used for long shots in the movies. It'd be all the subtly of a repaint with none of the cost savings, and they don't have an excuse for a second bite at the apple the way they did with the refit and the -A.

@ David cgc:
I disagree. They're making separate molds for similar ships or components all the time - Honshu and Melbourne, Galor and Keldon, TOS Enterprise and Mirror Enterprise and now Pike's Enterprise, 09 Enterprise and Beyond Enterprise... Pike's Enterprise represents the same ship as the TOS Enterprise, just with two or three modifications - yet they're releasing it as a bonus issue and it will presumably get a new mold. Unlike the Nemesis E it doesn't even have a noticably different paintjob.

It's true that the changes to the nacelles of the E probably wouldn't be visible unless they did it as an XL model, but even just the additional weapons and the improved transition between the saucer and the engineering hull would justify a new model. They'd just need to put the seam somewhere else this time. If they based the new mold on the CG file from Nemesis, some areas of the ship, especially the nacelles, would look different anyway since the shape of the mesh they've used so far isn't completely accurate.

And a ship named Enterprise with a cool new paintjob certainly wouldn't sell worse than the alien ships of the week or the nth Miranda...

The time to do the NEM version is when they did the -E in the first place.

No, then we'd be missing the First Contact / Insurrection version which is just as important. The Nemesis version deserves to be made because it's a deliberate redesign, and the other one because it's the original.

I liked the earlier renders of the DaSpu because it reminded me of a dark cathedral tower of some sort...

But the actual model seems to be more of a copper color. It doesn't look as good as I hoped.

Today I got the email that my Altair and a pair of binders I ordered just shipped.

Yeah... they arrived at my house more than a week ago.

I wonder why they decided the TMP Vulcan shuttle needed to be a Special? I think I would have preferred it as a Regular release so it would be smaller.

How is Eaglemoss customer service regarding broken models? I got a shipment in the other day and I found my Tholian (2152) ship was broken! Do they send a replacement? How long does it take? I think I could glue mine back together and have it be passable on the shelf, but I don't like paying for broken product. I already e-mailed them about it.

That’s the one thing they seem to be really good about. You call about something broken or a defect of any kind and they’ll promptly send a new one with no questions asked. I find, however, that phone calls usually work better.

My luck was 50%: they promptly replaced my DS9 Defiant which arrived with the nose broken off in such a way as to be irreparable; but they sent the Romulan Drone, 1701-B and Vengeance in an oversized box with none of those bubble things so the 1701-B and Drone arrived completely destroyed from banging around in the box, for that one I was told tough luck. That was via email, sounds like I should have called (maybe those folks have more leeway to just ship something out gratis).
