Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I like the post-TNG pennants on the AGT Enterprise. I always disliked the oval behind the arrowhead in TNG, both on the ships and the badges. It's a retcon I can get behind. Circle or nothing!

Some great looking ships there. Love the Reliant concept.

And the XL Kitinga is beautiful. If only we had an accurate XL 1701-A Togo along with it.

I am both sad and happy that the collection is set to end at 180. Sad because their are a bunch of ships and stations I would love to get, glad because I am out of space and have spent close to ten grand already. Nice selection of ships to end it out.

Still disappointed in the lack of Talarian and Tarellian ships. First appearances of rather unique designs, even if they were reused later.

Well, maybe in 176-180.

I'm pleased that they've covered most of the ships on my wishlist, but I'd still love to see the Bajoran scout and Degra's ship (both of which appeared in at least a half a dozen episodes each).

Maybe the Ferengi shuttle too.

I’m hoping that all remaining un-made ships become bonus issues when the collection is over, like the aforementioned Talarian craft and Degra’s shuttle, for instance. There are probably close to a hundred designs that would be worthwhile to be made.

For example, the Scorpion-class is a ship Ben mentioned that could get made if future sales justify it.

A good friend gave me the 'Klingon Warbird' from the NuTrek series- IMO about the only design in that universe that really looks like it belongs in the Prime as well. My only problem is that it seems far too clean for a Klingon ship

I decided to weather it up a bit- I kept it simple with a thinned flat black wash and selective use of Tamiya weathering pastels

Looking forward to the Cardassian weapons platform and the others. As others have said, pity we won't get the Bajoran scout.

I was hoping for the Drexler-Probert Frontier-class DS9, the Vanguard starbase, the John Knoll freighter from DS9's credits, the Bonaventure from DS9|Star Trek Chronology, the Wadi ship, the Boslic cargo ship, the Pakled ship etc

Huh, Eaglemoss uses Ex Astris Scientia as one of their sources for pictures of ships they either don't have the CG asset for, or were never CG to begin with.

I'm not surprised, it's a great resource for that kind of thing.

So, Ben says the refitted and repainted Enterprise E from Nemesis won't be made as it is too similar to the regular one... right before announcing the Enterprise from The Cage as a separate issue!? Not to mention that they also released 5 or 6 different Miranda variants as well as repaints of the Constitution Class and Constitution Class refit. Oh, and since the EM Enterprise E models are based on the Lombardi model they're whiter than the screen-used version from First Contact and Insurrection, so the dark paintjob from Nemesis would actually look even more different. I really don't get it.

The Nemesis E has basically been #1 on my wishlist ever since I started collecting the models five years ago, so I'm extremely disappointed.

I'm excited for the STO line - anticipating them at least doing some of the recurring 'hero' ships like the Bortas'qu, and have my hopes that the Romulan Daeinos and the Federation Tempest will be part of the line. My main ships tend to be kitbashes, but I'll likely end up picking up a few favorites along the way.

I’d wager that non-Federation ships will be low in priority early on, given how Fed ships in the other collections sell better.

But I’d like to be proven wrong.

Well this is weird though with how Eaglemoss has been operating lately I shouldn't be surprised.

Early last week a pending charge (finally) appeared for a new XL ship. I was excited since it seems like forever since I had received an XL ship. I have no idea which one they will send until I get the shipping notice. After several days of the charge still "pending" I awaited the shipping notice but the next day the "pending" charge disappeared. No recharge or shipping notice. Great, another mess up by Eaglemoss with no explanation. Then yesterday the XL Akira shows up at my door! Pleasantly surprised as I've gotten ships without shipping notes before. So I go back to look and see when my card was charged and.... no charge. I've checked several times and there is no charge for the ship!!

I should be happy with my "free" ship. However, I imagine sometime in the future I'll be charged out of the blue. The point is I can't budget for their charges as their shipping schedule is so erratic. I'm supposed to be charged every other month for one XL ship and once a month for two regular subscription ships. This is impossible to anticipate for as their charging and shipping schedules are all over the place. They will go months without charging for any regular subscription ships then charge for 3-4, then several months later I might get charged for 1, then on and on! The same for the XL line. I never know when they might get around to charging and shipping me another issue.

This really is getting ridiculous!!
