JR is James R Kirk isn't he? But how does he know about the Romulan rubber ducky?
Klingon Time CrystalBut how does he know about the Romulan rubber ducky?![]()
Does this count?I do want to see a Romulan Rubber Ducky in a live action show. I'm sure someone could have a use for it.
Well, I've seen every canonical piece of Star Trek ever made, so I will check this out and watch it at least once, but I am otherwise largely indifferent to it.
You're comparing apples and oranges here. This is a show aimed at preschoolers, so the motivations behind the making of it are totally different from a show for older viewers that actually understand what story and characters are.It hurts watching that they apparently do have a CGI animation budget but use it on this. I think a series of short films covering the Romulan War (with voices of the Enterprise cast) would be far more interesting, and should follow the lead of the classic 2003 Clone Wars show by Genndy Tartakovsky (not the Filoni show which I'm sure Paramount has no budget for and got overindulgent with creator pet characters at the end--Ahsoka and Rex anyone?)
Haaaave you met Trekkies?Applying concepts like canon or any "serious" facets of storytelling to a show like this are way overthinking the point.
Awesome, detailed, for collecting and display?Yeah, this show is the equivalent of action figures.
The horned dog is probably the species from Enemy WithinTrying to collect all the Star Trek things in these shorts:
Anything else I left out?
- The name
- The uniforms the kids wear
- The targ
- The "Romulan rubber ducky"
- The use of the TNG transporter noise.
Memory Alpha concurs, at least for the moment. The horned dog is probably the species from Enemy Within

I know Star Trek needs to pick up a younger audience... but I think this is taking it a little bit to the extreme!![]()
