Star Trek Sketchbooks - Questions and confusion...

ok so I'm trying to get a copy of The Next Generation Sketchbook with a specific John Eaves book cover.

I was noticing that

The Star Trek Sketchbook
https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series_Sketchbook

The Next Generation Sketchbook
https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation_Sketchbook:_The_Movies

were combined into a boxed set, but they ALSO changed the cover for the TNG book.

I have placed all of the relevant covers at: https://imgur.com/gallery/KakjtlP

Basically I'm trying to find out if the TNG Sketchbook in the Boxed Set has the John Eaves cover OR if it has the ugly blue cover.

Does anybody know ? Much thx in advance :-)

The ugly blue cover was the “solicitation” cover. By the time the book actually came out, they’d swapped it for the John Eaves cover. AFAIK, there are no copies of the book with the placeholder cover.

Both the copy I bought when it first came out and the copy in the box set I picked up cheap just a year or so ago have the good cover.

If any with the blue cover even exist, they might be rare collectibles.

I looked up a couple of listings for the boxed set on ebay, and the photos show the TNG sketchbook with the nice-looking cover instead of the ugly blue one. It helps when they actually have photos instead of just using the stock image, so you know exactly what you are getting.
