In the trailer, the Discovery looks to be in VERY good condition for a ship that's supposedly a thousand years old, so it looks like the "sent forward" angle might have some truth to it...

Lovely, just lovely. I noticed just after the credits, when the name of the episode came up, it was a blue/red circle and I immediately thought of "Open the pod bay doors, Hal." And that was not too far off.

That was different. This was one of the quietest and most thoughtful installments of Star Trek in years. Maybe decades. If you don't like this then you might as well pack up now.

This is proof not everything needs to be spectacle. Just a good, small story.I'm trying to stay spoiler free but this feels like Star Trek dealing with the human condition in an isolated setting.

And it doesn't feel condensed or rushed. This is a 15-minute story that feels like it should be 15 minutes. This is a perfect use of the format and with a poignant story to go with it, leaving you wondering about mystery surrounding the situation.

I'll give it a 10.
