Who thought that a CGI kids' show would turn out to be such a fan favorite? The back half of season 1 begins.

"At the edge of Federation space, the crew applies for asylum at a comm relay outpost, only for their starship to reveal its shocking true purpose." - Memory Alpha

Looks like the writers watched Star Trek into Darkness before writing this. :)
It was nice there was no annoying recaps for this, even though it could have used one since it has been awhile

So I guess the kids and fake Janeway really did just leave the Diviner to die at Tars Lemora. But it's strange to consider what was going on with that last scene with him from Episode 10. He seemed completely out of it, so it would surprise me his mental image of his current surroundings would be both erroneous and also mundane.

Jankom Pog as Federation Royalty!

What the heck is with that jerk Denobulan's rank pips...he's a lieutenant AND a provisional lieutenant? How does that work?

Maybe it's related to coordination with Federation or civilian news services? That far out in the "final frontier" means special responsibilities critical to maintaining the integrity of all communication channels.

I totally forgot about the premise of the first half. I'm kind of glad that they resolved the cliffhanger pretty quickly... I feel like an "adult" show would have dragged that on for the entire season. But also, they just left that dude to die in his life boat I guess... lol

Oh yeah, I also didn't expect Janeway herself to become a character, but I assume she'll be tricked by the father until she hooks up with the Protostar and the kids get to meet the real Janeway and resolve the plot for good. But it'll be interesting to see how they end up meeting each other, and finding out what happened to Chakotay and the crew.

Nice return for Prodigy. I was probably a little generous giving it a 9, but I'm still loving this mystery of the protostar and we are getting new pieces to the puzzle with each episode. I do think it was a bit of a leap for Gwyn to remember everything so quickly though and wish they would have dragged that out for at least 1 more episode. Also, I'm not going to judge the whole leaving the Starfleet guy to die thing too quickly. He did take the only escape pod so I think he will be fine. If not, well, that's his problem.

The Leap from the station to the Protostar was well done and I'm glad it wasn't exactly perfect.

Where are you getting that they “left him to die”? The episode literally ends with the Prodigy crew in a tractor beam in space outside the ship having just barely escaped.
