What happened to Narek at the end of S1? Last I noticed him he was yelling at Soji that she didn’t have to do it. Did I miss something?

You missed nothing. Narek yells Soji's name and then we just don't see or hear about him ever again.

If they did, they did it off-screen and without saying out loud that they did it.

Picard Season 1 is creatively the best and most well-written of the three, but even it made absolutely stupid choices in narrative and editing.

That was a strange choice on their part. He was such a central character; to have no idea what happens to him is a bit of a letdown, story wise. Thanks for letting me know.
