They completely glossed over shifting the cloaking device around. They uninstalled it from the Titan, put it on Worf's shuttle, then after they got back, reinstalled it on the Titan again.
There seems to have been a number of deleted or unfilmed scenes in episodes 7 and 8.

In episode 7, there was the whole lack of showing Picard's plan and setting up the Vulcan ship and the message. Whatever they did must've been convincing because it tricked Vadic. A bit of discontinuity with Vadic saying the crew is all spread out, Jack saying they're all dead. We know they're not but it suggests the Titan tried to hide their crew from scans but that wasn't shown/mentioned. Vadic doesn't correct him when he says they're all dead either.

And how did they manage to let Vadic (and not the rest of Starfleet who were looking them) no where to find the Titan?

In this episode, they apparently left out Riker & Troi scenes with the Changelings. And, as you mentioned, the whole cloaking device thing was unmentioned all around, although it was shown.

Not sure if was bad writing or bad editing. Guessing they were edited out for length, although that's silly for streaming episodes.

So Worf became a freelance head-hunter following his assignment on Deep Space Nine? And I don't mean recruiting. More like the guys that Skipper, Gilligan, and the rest tried to avoid...

Worf is a Captain in Starfleet. Perhaps of the Enterprise E.

You can see his Captain pips in the final scene.

If the actual Borg could do what Jack did to Mura, BOBW would have been over in less than 15 minutes with an easy Borg victory.

Yup. Jack is most definitely something different. Something inherited from Locutus perhaps, to explain his HIVE mind powers.

Remember Picard could still hear the voices of the Borg in First Contact.

He is. The backstory for Worf was that after Picard was promoted to Admiral left the Enterprise to organize the Romulan relief effort that Worf was promoted to Captain on Picards direct recommendation and string pulling and commanded the Enterprise-E. That lasted for at least two years prior to...whatever happened to the E-E as it was held back as classified.

Hopefully in E9 and E10 we find out what happened to the E-E

Brent Spiner mentioned in an interview just published over on TrekMovie that by absorbing Lore, Data gained some of his personality traits and talents/mannerisms and gained a "dark side" like all people have..so that might offer up a much broader character to explore if the stars line up again for the crew.

While a villain..I appreciate they didn't do Lore dirty because Lore is correct..Data got the love of everyone showered on him and Lore did not..

Then again Lore is a prick

Haha!!! Indeed. I think Lore wasn't wrong to feel slighted but when you choose to express those feelings by becoming a homicidal (genocidal?) maniac, well.....

Awesome. Now that's an animated series I'd actually want to see.

I suppose Captain Worf is now wearing gold again because he is with Starfleet Intelligence in his current posting.

Borg can hear other Borg. How could Jack mind control Mura without having even touched him? Mura is not a Borg

As much as I enjoyed the Troi / Riker scenes, the bit where they trashed Nepenthe was rather over the top, and not in any good way. Now that they're moving elsewhere one hopes Kestra - who seemed to love the place - has either left home or will have the home her parents have apparently loathed all along to go back to.

Maybe. But surely Chekov - who of course wasn't in "Space Seed" but since TWoK's writers ignored that let's do the same - should have said something to Terrell about Khan and co when Reliant approached the system. At the absolute least, surely he should have noticed that one of the planets in a known system wasn't there any more. But anyway. Given this is the Picard forum I won't go any further but it's one of the (many) reasons I can't take TWoK anywhere near as seriously as most do. As ever, each to their own.
I watch TWoK for the sheer beauty of having two incredibly large hams on the big screen together: Shatner and Montalban. That alone is worth the price of admission. That, and I have a massive crush on Saavik.

he easy takeover of ships is a thing in Trek, but I hate it. Almost always leads to poor episodes. Ugh.
Agreed. I do wish Starfleet Security was better at their job...

I now wonder if Lore reflects Soong's own insecurities.

Being born in 85 I didn't see TWOK even in its original decade..but yeah...major crush on Saavik too

RIP Lore. A great Trek villain that even had cinematic potential. His end was very satisfying though. 37 years in the making.

It seems like the best aspects of Lore are now present in this new Data. Very reminiscent of "The Enemy Within." I like how this new Data's personality is somewhat cocky and confident. Gives Spiner a lot to work with.

I think so. I think Lore was more or less intended to be a 1:1 copy of Noonien Soong but where humans are able to organically reason and have depth of nuance..Lore wasn't and just kind of was a perpetual ball of id. Pure instinct, singular desire and having superpowered mind and body to match that ambition didn't hurt. Lore took the path of lease resistance with human traits..cruelty and selfishness.

Very much this, yes! I am surprised by how much I am into it. On paper it seems supremely dumb, but Spiner really sold it....

I thought Data's solution was pretty fun, and I got excited once I realized what he was doing just before they made it explicit.
By allowing Lore to take every bit of Data's memories, he essentially merged Data into himself. And Data was so much more than Lore, and Lore was so envious of Data, that ultimately this meant Lore was the one who took a back seat and got absorbed in the end.
Exciting stuff.

Brent is an extremely sarcastic, very snarky and charming man. Fantastic conversationalist and I'm thinking at this point Data is less ..Data but more Brent Spiner playing Data playing Brent Spiner

Too many SCENES CUT! The cloaked ship, Worf boarding the Shrike, Worf, Riker and Troi fighting in the corridor etc. Happened in the last episode as well. Was easy to see what was cut and it felt a little jarring to watch. Where is all that footage, hopefully released in its entirety in future.

Other than that, im worried about whats happening to Shaw, started off interesting but is just fast becoming a Discovery style bridge officer in disguise, has no leadership qualities, no lines of note, no important defining scenes (all handed to Seven). Really disappointing how he has been handled. Why was he there at all in that case? What is his purpose except to get beat up, make the wrong decisions, cry over something after getting beaten up a second time (still no idea why??), run away play safe and be completely by the book.

Felt the TNG love-in scenes were surprisingly well handled. Although still feels like a DS9 story with a TNG cast dare I say...
Last two episodes will be interesting...the whats behind the red door build up hopefully is worth it
7/10
