Isn't the nuclear war and WWIII the same thing? Also I am curious how this all leads to Cochrane and meeting the Vulcans that ushered in the major changes.
That might get addressed. Though the concern right now is getting 2024 on the right path.

The MEGA crowd isn't too fond when Vulcans land on their soil. It may not be Cochrane that draws their interest in the altered timeline. It could be a new form of unstable energy or any number of other things.

Yep, more or less. World War III hasn't been the same thing as the Eugenics Wars since TOS.

Two pieces of the puzzle, with one happening in 1992-96, the other in 2053.

TOS giving confusing datapoints since 1966.

I came from the past because, although I don't watch (or rewatch) Star Trek made after 2005, yesterday (the day after this episode was released I think) I saw a spoiler of a scene in a Youtube video thumbnail that caused me to it.

I want to say I like Punk on Bus. I hope he is well. I hope he is living a long and prosper life.

I never thought a FSNP hurt. Sorry, Punk on Bus. Spock wasn't quite working on all thrusters.

Marvel show called WandaVision, about Wanda and the Vision.
Check. I thought the whole series was in black and white (not exactly an invested fan, am I?), so the color gif threw me. Still, I’m ashamed at my failing command of pop culture that i don’t actually watch consume. There was a time I could bluff my way through a conversation based only on reviews and MAD magazine.

The conceit of the show is it takes place in a sitcom inspired setting ranging from the 50s through the 00s, Each episode in a world inspired by each decade. But that's just the surface.

A question to tie one's brain in a knot... which "first meeting" will Guinan and Picard remember?

So if the queen in episode 1 turns out to be Jerati, wouldn't that create a paradox when they all inevitably return to their time? For the queen/Jerati to exist, they have to go back in time and she stays or ends up elsewhere, if they're all back on the ship, then regular Jerarti can't be there.
