I'm not a big TNG fan and even I know Maddox and Data had written communication. How would Maddox know of the painting? Was he close to Data?

It would seem Data & Maddox kept in regular contact since Measure of a Man through letters. We get to hear the content of one of these letters in the episode Data's Day (the one with Keiko & O'Brien's wedding).Makes sense. They do so much with things out of time, or someone's memory implanted in somebody else, I thought it was more complicated than it was. How would Maddox know of the painting? Was he close to Data? Not a big TNG fan. Also to the poster above, if this explanation was tossed off in one line in ep 01, no wonder I missed/forgot it. Been a lot of twists and turns and positronic engrams since then.
I love how excited that guy was to see him.My headcanon for now is the "hey Locutus!" guy is the new leader of the xbs.
And every time Picard runs into them again, he'll be there and say the same damn thing.
I don't. But I've really only seen it once, original run.I'm not a big TNG fan and even I know Maddox and Data had written communication.
Ooops, forgot a point or two.
The second time through, I guess it could be viewed that the Golem was meant for humans only, so that Data was not on option (or the murdered synth).
Riker's tough talk seemed silly and over the top.
Yes, that is pretty much the most accurate description of Riker ever.
If Jean Luc Picard (golem) exists, then Harry Kim (duplicate) needs to exist.
Well, Picard definitely hasn't been visually rebooted, but an argument could be made that he's now at least 25% different.
please, don't concentrate all your positive energy in one spot.IF there is a season 2. With the COVID-19 outbreak, season 2 isn't a given, especially at Sir Pat's age.
