So... the big lesson is ... choose mortality?

Yeah, what the heck did that have to do with the rest of the season? The whole time they were on that kick, I was thinking "wait, where did this come from? Did I miss something?"
They really dropped the ball on Narek there. Also Jurati better be going to prison. Preferably a Romulan one.
Right from the beginning with that doctor telling Picard he was dying before he went into space. Picard chose to go out facing death quick instead of trying to not die as slow as possible on earth.Yeah, what the heck did that have to do with the rest of the season? Clearly, in the 24th Century, dying on a daily basis, is just something people do, like SEX.So is Picard really Picard or is he just a copy? Since transporters exist, isn't he now a copy (of a copy)^5000 that was transcoded?
Data was clearly a copy of a backup.
Didn't Agnes say way back that they downloaded the D/data in B4 because he couldn't handle it and was shutting down? Not sure what the "lesson" was. They just happened to have reconstructed Data's Katra. He was living in the Katric Arc but he seemed to have wanted what Vampires call, the true death. Why they had Data's katra is not clear. B4 was dis-assembled in a drawer back on Earth. So apparently there is a 2nd, separate copy of DataKatra just sitting there. Not because they wanted to bring him back, because Soong wanted that body for himself. It was just there on the shelf for no apparent reason except to give Data and Picard the goodbye they didnt get before.
I'm sure that was a big reason why he wanted to diehe was locked in a simulation for decades rather than being uploaded to a body.
I'm sure that was a big reason why he wanted to die
That raises the question, did Data know that B4 was dying/died?I know I'd rather die than live on as a consciousness in a box.
The adventure saved his life. And no more artificial heart.Right from the beginning with that doctor telling Picard he was dying before he went into space. Picard chose to go out facing death quick instead of trying to not die as slow as possible on earth.
Must be really weird seeing your dead body though. The adventure saved his life. And no more artificial heart.
