Yes, Picard was resurrected in the android golem. He's now an android, albeit with an aging chip and finite lifespan and no android abilities.
You could make the argument that Picard is dead and the android is one that just has Picard's memories and personalities and believes he's Picard. I guess it doesn't make much difference to anyone else as the android would act the way Picard would.

That was seriously rad. A big step up from Part 1, which disappointed me to an extent. It felt like the show was suddenly firing on full impulse again after an oddly rocky bit of turbulence.

What's with the recent obsession in naming ships after the Chinese? To appeal to the Chinese demographics?

I might not be completely impartial as I'm of Chinese heritage myself, but I'm not sure 2 ships that show up for only a few minutes (Shenzhou and Zheng He, the former of which was destroyed in the pilot) counts as an "obsession".
Well, it does fit in with the U.S.S. Tian-an-men which was mentioned in TNG. Starships named after Chinese references go back almost 30 years in Trek.

Chinese history has an absolute wealth of figures worthy of being named after, including great generals such as Zheng He. I feel like it’s woefully reductionist to assume this is purely to service a demographic, especially when Chinese-named craft have been in Star Trek for decades.
