He did. In the flashback Q shows Picard of him being stabbed by the Nausicaan Ensign Picard had hair in his twenties. It was a continuity error on behalf of NEM's producers.
I seem to remember some fan-theory that Jean-Luc apparently lost a bet while at the Academy and had to shave his head, thus the strange pic being around.

the only thing that threw me off with the photo is i was always under the impression Picard had hair back when he was that young. Maybe it was implied?

And he still had hair as captain of the Stargazer in the flashback in "Violations." I'm guessing in Nemesis they were desperate to find some way to get them to resemble each other, and unfortunately shaving Tom Hardy's head was the easiest way to accomplish that.

I need a favor from my fellow trekbbs posters. I have an irrational phobia with beheadings. Can someone describe the scene or sequence where it happens so I can turn away/fast forward a few seconds?

Thanks

I know many are looking forward to Picard seeing Hugh again, I am more interested in seeing Hugh and Seven meet.

I wonder if Rizzo and Narek are capable of spitting that acid.

No doubt Jurati is finding out all she can, she is either a useful fool spying for Oh or a synth herself.

Will see the episode tomorrow.

i'm really digging the way this show is deepening the romulans as a culture, showing different sides to them. kind of like what discovery season 1 attempted to do with the klingons.

this episode was an 8 for me. strongest since the premiere, the characters are starting to coalesce into a nice little group, but there's something off about the pacing here. again, like season 1 of discovery, these are feeling really cut down in editing to fit that hour format which CBS needs to ditch.

Flash of a sword, then head (viewed from the back) kinda slides/falls forward with a little bit of green blood seen. Barely PG-13. Could have definitely been much worse.

It's at the most a three or four second scene.
Elnor flies through the air, there's a bit of a snick sound effect and then we see from behind, Senator "Ichobod Crane"s head begin to slide off with a smidgen of green blood on the neck.

Disney has made worse impressions with some of their cartoons.

You know somehow I wouldn't call being afraid of being beheaded an irrational fear

Yes but its walk out of theater bad for me. Worse than most anyone I know..

Thanks. Doesnt sound too bad then. Relieved we don't see the headless corpse. Appreciate your nonjudgmental answer to my question.
