What's with Commodore Oh wearing sunglasses when she went to question Dr. Jurati? Why would a Vulcan need sunglasses on Earth? Vulcan has much more intense sunlight, as evidenced by Spock's third eyelid that protected him from light that would have fried the retinas of a human.
The actress was probably wearing them before shooting and forgot to take them off.

it depends on the teacher - there were two spanish counts who spoke perfect german and got their luggage stolen on the railways. when they reported to the railway police in berlin they were locked up.

their problem was that their german teacher was from saxony - and the saxonian dialect being considered the worst ...

as a matter of fact the imperial (ours) ambassador to spain went to appologize several times for that incident

I'm a Canadian who lived most of my life in Toronto. Once when I worked with people in Buffalo, NY, they said I sounded British to them. When I visited the UK they all thought I was American based on my accent.

sounds kinda normal - all canucks i met spoke better english than the english - albeit with an accent

... i'm no way discussing americans here

hä? you'd lost without them - are you some sort of a royalist?
I'm a Finn* so I have no part in that. It is just funny how dismissive Americans are towards the French even though their nation wouldn't even exist without the French help.

(We also say 'hä' or 'häh' to express puzzlement BTW.)

Seems to have been a 20th Century development.
