Star Trek passings

I really liked him as Admiral Paris, and Admiral Noyce from SEAQUEST. He played a memorable character in QUANTUM LEAP, as Captain Galaxy.

I met him at DragonCon years ago, and he was a nice guy. He had some cool stories about his many years in the business.

Rest in peace, sir.

Geez, Grant, it's only the end of May and we've lost 16 already this year. It's going to be a long, long, sad year.

Well sadly that did not take long.
Actor Anthony James who played a Romulan in Star Trek the Next Generation episode The neutral zone has passed away at age 77. He was a pretty prolific actor usually playing villains and really sleazy characters and ironically the Romulan that he played with one of the more likable characters of his career!
Rest in peace.

I'll always remember him as Hector Savage from Detroit. His real name was Joey Chicago, but he fought as Kid Minneapolis. In Cincinnati.

I always liked him. His role on Buck Rogers was very sympathetic, as he played a character that no one respected, and so he betrayed his evil employers. His race was the first depicted on Buck Rogers that all wore masks to hide radiation spawned deformities, in their case deformities in the facial structure resembling those caused by acromegaly. He admitted to Buck that he felt he had to remain loyal to his employers, but was willing to undermine their efforts if it meant preventing the same kind of radiation mutations in humanity.

Just read that John Winston, aka: Lt. Kyle of TOS transporter fame, has passed away, age of 91. Will check further sources.

Wow! That would be a rough one. I always had a soft spot for him in that character.
And of course he had the 9th most appearances of any speaking actor on the series right after Chapel. Also of course he was the 9th original series crew member to appear in a movie as well. Hoping it's not true and he hangs on for a few more.

Confirmed. He passed.

John Winston's Mister Kyle was a memorable and enjoyable character, and played him in eleven TOS episodes and ST:TWOK. He was a fixture in the Transporter Room and even helped out on the bridge at times. Rest in Peace, Mister Kyle. :weep:

Mel Winkler passed away June 11th, age of 78. Mr. Winkler played 'Jack Hayes' in the Voyager episode 'The 37's'.

Harry Basch passed away June 23rd, 2020, age of 94. He played Dr. Brown on the TOS series episode 'What are Little Girls Made Of?' Mr. Basch had retired in the late 1980's.

If people break up, going after and murdering them... no. Lock up the killer for life. Nothing justifies that sort of murder.
you are allowed to defend yourself, what was he supposed to do, stand there while he was being shot at, calmly talking to the 911 operator ?
