Star Trek :Into Darkness Trailer has been Rated.

thing is we won't see all the characters and there is still a good chance that Cummberbatch's charcater will not be revealed.

I'm ok with this.
We still have 6 months and more trailers, posters, promo images, interviews and tv spots to go.
I can wait.

A trailer that is 1 minute long could be............I dont even know.thing is we won't see all the characters and there is still a good chance that Cummberbatch's charcater will still not be revealed.
Those who have seen the trailer confirm that Cumberbatch's character is not outted yet

I don't know whether this is to do with the trailer or not, but people might want to be watching Conan tonight. Show starts at 11 PM Pacific, so probably in about 22 minutes for those on the US East Coast.

I'd think pressurization would be major problem taking a half-mile long spacecraft underwater. But they'll probably doubletalk some explanation about the structural integrity field. Isn't helium sometimes used for atmosphere in submersibles? They might all start talking like the Munchkins.

I never understood why it´s supposed to be problematic to go under water at all. The shields should be able to withstand any water preassure?

Think of Futurama in this case, where the Planet Express ship is underwater.

"We've got the equivelant of (I forget how many) atmospheres outside the ship."
"How many atmospheres can the ship take?"
"Well, it's a spaceship, so anywhere between zero and one."

Yes, a cartoon, with a spaceship whose properties changed entirely week to week for comic effect, totally the same.

Duranium is meant to be incredibly strong, and the ships in Trek have been seen doing turns with internal torque that should rip them up, and survive. The SIF of Federation ships renders them even stronger.

Dense nebula's, solar streamers, coronal layers, fluidic space, Earth's own atmosphere with mutliple hull breaches or no engine power?

Skimming the upper ocean of a planet shouldn't be a problem.

Inertial dampeners are a wonderful thing, baby!

Enterprise-E collides with Scimitar, no more forward saucer. Enterprise-D slides onto Veridian III, unsalvageable. Ship collides with the D's nacelle, ship explodes.

Clearly, the punishment a ship can take depends on the mood of the writer.
