Wait a minute. Let me think about this for a second. Star Trek on CBS? No way. It will never happen.

CBS seriously considered picking up the show, on the condition that Leonard Nimoy was still available. Unfortunately, he'd already signed on for M:I, so that was that.

It was probably just as well. Considering the way the third season was trending, a fourth season episode showing the Enterprise crew fighting a bunch of talking carrots was not all that beyond the realm of possibility. And we probably would've been stuck with Freddie Freiberger for another year, so nuff said on that one.
