Star Trek Dreams & And Other Dreams

Dayton3

Admiral
What kinds of Star Trek dreams have people had.

I had one recently where I had a vision of the Death Star trench.

But instead of three X-Wing or Tie Fighters flying down it, I saw three Borg cubes flying down it instead.

You know, given the raw size of the Death Star, it would be perfectly capable of having a trench that large.

I also had a very vivid "Battlestar: Galactica" type of dream. It was set up like BG but instead of ships in space, the Galactica was an immense locomotive on an Earth like world pulling an enormous train of survivors from the city of Caprica after it is attacked and destroyed by the Cylons.

There were no space or air vehicles in the dream. Everything was overland.

I also had dreams where I happened upon an entire selection of Trek books in a bookstore that I had never read and wanted desperately to buy, but didn't have enough money. I remember staring at the novels and trying to memorize all the details about them but the memories starting to fade. The only one I ever remembered was the cover of a paperback showing Captain Kirk (movie era) in the foreground with at least 4 Klingon battlecruisers in the background.

Anyone want to take a crack at interpreting any of those?

I doubt that

I've had some pretty wild ones...BsG dreams, Trek dreams, and so on. The trouble is that in my dreams, my fanfic tends to get mixed in.

And I've also had the bookstore dreams! Usually I'm looking for something rare I can't find, or keeps changing places.

I've gotten some pretty cool details in certain dreams, though. In one, I ended up finding out I was part-Cardassian (a dream topic that should surprise no one here ;) ), and when I reached up to my face, I could actually feel bones/cartilage for the eye ridges underneath my skin, not applied like makeup. That was COOL.

I had a dream that I was on some kind of space station that had stairs down to earth, and I was hanging out in a garden area with a bunch of starfleet kids. Tuvok was there, along with some random characters from DS9.

We were doing an archeological dig compliments of Chakotay, and I found some old coins in the space station dirt from the 1930s. Everyone was really impressed. We also climbed some baobab trees.

Then I ran down to earth and it turned into some of kind intrigue action film in which some starfleet secret bad guys were trying to force me to return back to my own time, in the 21st century. The only problem was that my dream-self was in love with an anoymous figure from the dream and I wanted to stay in the future.

Tuvok helped me out a bit with his AK-47.

I have the best dreams ever.

After a late night playing Armada 2 I dreamt I was playing the game with a sort of holographic and telepathy version (of better graphic quality then the game as well). I'm not sure what I was doing but I was concerned that my fleet was too small. Can only remember there was a Galaxy in the centre that kept doing figure 8s on the spot.

Back when I was in high school I had a dream that Cardassians were trying to get me and I was in the downstair/under the house room and one appeared at the top of the stairs and I shot at him with a phaser. I then had a mild panic attack when I realised the curtains were open and I was exposed to possible attacks from outside.

Rarely have dreams like the latter, mostly their are real-world dreams, like playing Armada or the movies/shows/books feature somewhere (like dreaming about buying a Trek book at the store).

I think the battery in your radon/Co2 detector needs replacing. ;)

Only last month I dreamed that I was slowly kayaking through the Colma Narrows just south of San Francisco with a couple of Deltan girlfriends during a spectacular sunset, all the while looking up at the darkening sky to see if I could spot the SF Orbital Yards during their thrice daily pass over the city. The dream was oddly non-sexual considering who and what my fellow kayakers were, but still extremely pleasant.

The only one in recent memory was after being half asleep and making a quick sketch of a non-Starfleet Federation ship - which ended up with elements from Stargate, Red Dwarf and other non-Trek shows...

I drifted off at the desk and ended up dreaming of being on the ship. I vividly remember the bridge being similar to early drafts of the TNG set with couches everywhere for VIP's to sit and me resting on a couch in front of the Ops console as I was hungover.

I tried to draw a floor plan of it when I woke up but it just seemed very strange outside the dream...

I've also had a recurring dream of being in uniform waking up in a strange place with my phaser and tricorder missing, but I've had the same dream in modern day gear with an empty tac vest. Not sure why...

Well, I'm convinced! This sounds great! I have had one Trek dream, and it was a good one, too. I was with Tom Paris, and it was quite nice; not sexual, just warm and fuzzy. Don't remember what we did; just the warm and nice part.

I dream with ST themes usually only if I've been watching or reading trek before going to sleep. And usually if something happens that I would have done differently, or would have like to have seen play out a different way, and its bugging me.

Last year, I had been fighting a viral infection for about a week (my body, not my computer ;-) and I’d been sleeping a lot more than usual. I took a nap and had the following dream:

The Doctor (played by David Tennant) shows up at Hogwarts with Rose. He’s there to investigate what Voldemort has been up to... he knows that Voldemort is only a spirit, but that he’s still trying to get a physical body back, and the Doctor has heard that Voldemort is trying to use Time Lord regeneration technology to form a new body. The Doctor uses his psychic paper to convince Dumbledore and the rest of the faculty and staff that he’s this year’s visiting "Defense Against the Dark Arts" professor.

Since Rose is a Muggle, the Doctor uses some kind of morphing technology on her. She’s free to come and go from the TARDIS and onto campus, but whenever she leaves the TARDIS, she morphs into a terrier. She has her hair done up into two side pony tails that turn into her dog ears when she leaves the TARDIS. She mantains her full intelligence and her ability to speak-- she just looks like a dog with blonde fur. Since almost everyone at Hogwarts has a familiar, nobody looks twice at the Doctor as he carries on conversations with Rose in the form of a dog.

The Doctor uses his Sonic Screwdriver as his wand, and since he can shoot blasts from it, move things, levitate things, etc. nobody really notices that it’s technology rather than magic-based.

Over the course of about a month, the Doctor meets Harry Potter and interviews him about Voldemort. During the climactic scene (the battle with Voldemort at Hogwarts), Harry casts a spell to gain power from the Doctor at the same moment the Doctor starts his Regeneration process-- Harry and the Doctor merge into one being, and since Voldemort expects Harry to only use magic against him, he isn’t prepared for the Doctor’s use of advanced alien technology against him. Voldemort isn’t defeated, but he is banished from Earth’s plane of existance for one year.

Harry’s spell wears off, and he and the Doctor split back into two separate people. Even though the Doctor began another regeneration process, Harry’s combo spell reversed its effects and the Doctor still looks like David Tennant. The Doctor and Harry share a brief moment as the Doctor’s mind is open to the world of Magic that Harry knows and Harry now has seen the wonders of deep space that the Doctor knows. Rose invites Harry to come see her and her mum at their flat in London once school lets out for the summer, and then Rose and the Doctor fly off to another adventure in the TARDIS.

I’m not really into fanfic, but my dream was like watching a movie. I know it will never get filmed, but it was very entertaining!
