(Adira Tal plays mysterious melody)
Random Cardassian: Of all the music and culture that Cardassia and its territories had to offer the galaxy, I never expected the Hymn of the Pah Wraiths to catch on as much as it did. Adira plays it quite well.
Burnham: What's a pah wraith?
Yeah, as i mentioned on Reddit, the music might be another hint for the Pah Wraiths.
"The Prophets, in their celestial temple, transcend all of time and space. Maybe this melody is their warning that the Pah Wraiths are free again or heralding the return of the Sisko or a new emissary (Burnham?)..."
"From earlier posts that i made:
"I compiled a list for all the things i found, hinting at the Pah Wraiths possibly being the cause of the burn and Cleveland Booker being one of them:
-The dilithium crystal being red instead of white in the new opening credits.
-The wormhole (also in the opening credits) and the mentioning of the nearest one by Booker, whose face began to glow a bit like Dukat's under their influence, when he used his powers.
Book describing his family as hunters and murderers.
-The prophecy in DS9 about a golden age for Bajor lasting for a millennium.
-Dukat talking about the Pah Wraiths burning across the alpha quadrant.
-The connection of the Prophets and Pah Wraiths to time and their perception of it, which might be relevant to the outcome of the temporal (cold) war.
-The possible return of Dax.
-The new combadges looking kinda bajoran.
-Season 2 starting its arc with the first appearance of the Red Angel, while the first episode of Season 3 introduced Booker.
-The name of the cat being Grudge. By the way i'm not sure if Grudge's supposed to be a real cat or something else. "
"If we look at the previous seasons, the most important characters and plot elements were always introduced at the beginning (S1: L'Rell and Lorca, The Mycelium Network; S2: Pike, The Red Angel)
And the name of the cat might be forshadowing Book's reveal. "(She's) heavy and all mine".
The Pah Wraiths were known to bear a grudge against Bajor and the Prophets (and maybe Starfleet and the Federation, because the emissary of the Prophets was an highly decorated and influential Starfleet Captain)."
