This is probably just a me thing, but now whenever I read "Adira", my mind's ear hears it in Peter Jurasik/Londo.
And I thought of "If Star Trek generation ship was hit by asteroid, it was probably targeted by Centari mass driver.
Anyway, this episode...

I had some reservations about the fact how this show is treating sudden rise to prominence when it comes to secondary characters, BUT I think this one did a simply terrific job with Adira. She is not just token trans-character, but a legitimate and well written person and the exposition about Grey and her journey to symbiont connection was turned into tear inducing drama. I did not like how Burnham was included into her journey on Tril, however I can live with that. Considering certain cameos from trailers, I kinda hoped new Federation center will be revealed to be somewhere in Cardassian space and... Well, that can still happen.
OK, I didn´t "care" too much about Saru´s plotline, still effective for what it was.
The first episode this season I genuinely loved!
