why? looking like our lizards doen't mean they are related to them, does it?

It's possible that once they start moving through humanoid development, they start to lay less of an egg and more of a larval sac like the original V series. Then onto fully mammalian like birth by full sapience.

Bones' remark implied they have multiple births often too. So who knows.

I swear, if they ever did a Cardassian redesign, I'd riot. I'd just take my collection of Burnham/Tilly shipping fan fics, and treat them as my own personal canon instead.

Wait, I think I just realized how everybody felt about the Klingons when DSC premiered.
Essentially it happened like this.

"Who the f**k are they supposed to be" when I saw the Klingons in the pilot.
then
"What the hell is that supposed to be" when I saw the battlecruisers.

Then I saw the BoP and crashed.

Good. I've missed the Cardassians. I really hope to meet some one day. I still have that pipe dream of introducing Elim Garak to A Song of Ice and Fire and listening to him pontificating on how Tywin Lannister is the true Cardassian hero of the series.
One of the best characters in DS9 along with Dukat but they wrecked his character by the end.

It's also likely that the Church pretended that because of the embarrassment they felt once the cat was out of the bag.
No. Medieval people certainly believed it was true (though not at the time it supposedly happened, only much later.) It is modern historians who have concluded that it is most likely just a story.

Finished my re-watch and now I give it a "6" (which I still think maybe overly generous).

I remember reading a Gil Gerrard interview in Starlog magazine back in the early 1980's. In it he voiced his frustration with the Buck Rogers scripts they were producing. He felt some of the ones they were getting sent by the fans were much better. I now know how he feels. Some of the fan theories getting posted by ScreenRant and others ended up being much better and more interesting than what was actually delivered.

The final sequence of the episode was absolutely a classic promo for the further adventures of Pike's Enterprise and NOT that of Discovery's season 3, now how inept is that? On a scale of 1 to 10 it's an 11 (shout out to "This Is Spinal Tap"). Discovery went beyond the veil. THE END! It totally felt as if their story was done.

The Starfleet solution is having everyone keep a secret and not say anything about anything. Too many folks involved for that to be even remotely plausible. Even if Section 31 started assassinating them all the "secret" would get out.

This finale was a real zero charisma. Again the best part was Georgiou's psychotic little girl laugh as Leland lay dying.

I will say that I did get verklempt when Saru's sister showed up, however, that was about it (and I am an easy touch to make cry during movies). Overall, I felt better about season 1 than season 2. Season 2 rating would be a "7" because they did have some really good episodes early on. The pacing of this season was bad with the second half feeling painfully stretched out for time.
