The battles are visually like Battlestar Galactica now.

This part had me thinking exactly the same.

Maybe I missed something, but what happened that prevented the future that Burnham saw from becoming reality? I'm talking about Control walking on the bridge and killing everyone, for some reason he lost his sense of aim.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in the 90+ pages.

Burnham wasn't on the bridge when he actually did? And trying to destroy Red Angel Burnham outside the ship took up extra processing power he previously didn't require?

as i see it, this is a way out to kinda alter pike's destiny (if required). it shows that locking the future is nonsense. it's one of those points where parallel universes are split off. they can now do a pikeverse whenever they want

The more I think about it the less sense it seems to make: So way back when the shuttle with Tyler and Pike was attacked by the probe from the future (which, as it turns out, through Airiam later made 23rd century Control the danger it became), the probe was coming through a time portal over Kaminar created by the Red Angel the episode before that. This was way back when they said the Red Angel suit was from the future and it made sense that the altered probe coming through the time portal was from the far future as well. Problem is, in the finale it is established that it was Michael Burnham (!) creating the portal, time traveling from a point only a couple of weeks into the future. So why was that Control probe coming through the same portal?

Is it me or does it really make no sense? :(

Likely Burnham ensured the portal remained open long enough for it to extend hundreds of years into the future on its own to meet her own predestination demands in her 'trusting the mystery' that this would achieve the permanent elimination of the threat of Control that her mother wasn't able to. Maybe it worked maybe it didn't. Maybe using all the juice that would have been needed for that and the burst to stop the Ba'ul will mean they fall short of her 950 year goal. We'll find out next year.

Time loop. It happened because it always happened and therefore, it needed to happen in order to happen! I SAW IT HAPPEN! DON'T TELL ME IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

Tbh, I don't think about it too hard to keep myself from getting a migraine.

What’s even more puzzling now is that Gabrielle Burnham acted like she created Control by accident, when it was simply the one signal Michael had created over Kaminar that brought all of this over them.

they don't even discuss whether it's sentient, do they?

with picard in pike's shoes they senior stuff would sit at a conference table to do exactly that for at least half an hour. jeordie technobabbling through 200 years of (from our pov) yet to be made computer history.

damnit, picard would have saved m5.
Please. Picard might have talked the M5 to death, but he would have happily sacrificed himself and the entire crew or hell, blew up the shipped himself.:rommie:

Yeah, by showing him how it would be it actually does give Pike some leeway.

Not everything is necessarily as it seems.

No, in her timeline Control had always developed. She had eventually found out it was from data from the sphere and moved it to meet up with Discovery. It was Control going into the past in an attempt to jumpstart its creation early that doomed it (as far as we know).

The probe came from the far future as shown by its advanced technology and probably used the signal as the ideal way to lock in the correct timezone to attack the shuttle and gain access to Airiam.

We still haven't seen who, how or when the prob is sent into the past, until we do a reset is still possible.

Unless they do just ignore it but based on what I have seen and their attempts to align everything else I find it odd that they would ignore it.
