Exactly.Disagree, I think all these moments were very worthwhile.. and I’d rather have them in the first part so that the second part can focus on progressing the story and action more...

NahIt was way too heavy handed.

I do wonder how folks are going to react if Kurtzman and company press a massive reset button after going on for two years that the show was "Prime"?

Just curious......
Pike's wink when he said "what mirror universe?"
I can't remember.... Did Michael or anyone else fill him in, or did he already know about the mirror universe through a Starfleet briefing or something. I can't recall if someone from Disco's crew told him....
Maybe she's color blind?BTW, when Georgiou complains about the orange colors, what is she referring to?
The console highlights?
Those are red to me.
Maybe it‘s a subtle reference to Terran‘s difference in light perception after all..
It means he learned about it sometime between his briefing on Lorca and that moment. What I ESPECIALLY enjoyed is that we did NOT have to endure a lengthy scene of exposition where Pike learns of it. His comment is all that was necessary.Just curious......

We just got a vague statement in the first episode where Pike stated that he knew all about the previous Captain, and the breach in trust. I guess Pike was informed about all of the details.
And that's exactly the kind of thing I am very happy they did NOT do. There are 8760 hours in a year. Plenty of time for almost all the "hey...how come he/she/it knows that...we didn't see the moment when he/she/it learned of x,y,z... to occur offscreen. But there was no hint of "my Georgiou" when Pike talked about knowing her from the Academy.
Y'know, even a scene where Burnham says to Pike "there's something you need to know about 'Captain' Georgiou", then fade to the next scene would've been good for me.

I think we got that when Georgiou first appeared and Pike commented that she seemed a lot different from her academy days, he brought that fact up to , Burham and she replied, "That's a longer conversation..." But also did promise to tell him at some point, which I assume happened because he did respond to her at that time with "Okay but don't make me come looking for you about the information."But there was no hint of "my Georgiou" when Pike talked about knowing her from the Academy.

Actually now that you mention it, I remember a "what are you not telling me Burnham" line from Pike, where she responds that it would be a conversation for another time.
Disagree, I think all these moments were very worthwhile..
Agree. The Enterprise and the bridge set...
Enterprise bridge and interior. F'ing amazing. What a faithful update. This is what the JJ Enterprise should have been.
