It is telling that it appears that Leland/Control spaced much of the Section 31 crews. Doesn't really seem like a Borg tactic. I still wonder if Gant or maybe even Tyler end up being compromised by Control, but we will see.

If the AI becomes the Borg, it would involve some serious corruption to it's program, possibly during the battle and/or trip to the past in one of those probes. Not to mention hundreds or thousands of years of "evolution" after that.

Oh, I agree. I think (and hope) the Borg is a big red herring. And I do still think that what we see in "Calypso" and particularly Zora plays a big part in getting Control under... well... control.

It made me wonder just how much of Section 31's personnel are ship- and station-based. So Borg question aside, it seems likely we'll get an explanation for their disappearance... I mean, it's quite hard to maintain a secret intelligence outfit with most of its personnel killed off and its basic infrastructure compromised by a hostile AI. I guess the Section 31 series might be about Georgiou's attempts to rebuild it from its ashes.

Is that confirmed though, that he spaced the crew?

It would make sense but wondered what you were basing it on.

Confirmed, no? But its speculation based on seeing icy bodies and the discussion of the Section 31 ships in the trailer. The Klingons are dealing with their own issues and its really not their M.O. to space their enemies. Its not an honorable death. Its obviously not going to be related to the Red Angel. Its doubtful in Episode 12 of a 14 episode story arc, they're going to suddenly introduce a new heavy. So, that really only leaves Control and Leland.

Marvel‘s Agents of Section 31 doesn‘t have quite the ring to it...

Ahh I haven't seen the trailer yet.

Won't surprise me if Control does space them, it doesn't need a crew to operate the vessel.

This should be a very interesting episode...it will likely set up everything for the final two episodes, so it's pretty pivotal.
Yeah it's their last opportunity to set the scene before the two part finale.

Dee Sevuns

  • If only we had a Major Tom in starfleet who could somehow ground Control. But no doubt it was Tilly's mom, or was it Amanda, or was it Dr Burnham, or possibly one of the Georgious who said "To get things done you better not mess with major Tom"
