You guys hassled me like a week ago for supposedly misrepresenting a post base on selective quoting. So where's the line?
I have no idea what you're on about because I haven't hooked up to the hive mind with my fellow mods yet and that incident doesn't ring a bell with me at all, so I'm assuming I wasn't involved in "hassling" you (I was gone for a week recently, so I might not have been present then), which probably just involved someone giving you a friendly admonition rather than any actual hassling, I'm guessing.

Anyway, here's what you said:
It's disingenuous (more accurately, myopic and ignorant) to think Trump is the sole possible source of that speech.

It's also disingenuous (and against forum rules) to ignore my previous text explaining that the whole mirror universe (as well as the stupid slogan on all those red hats) is derived from the Nazis.
(Bolding mine) As far as I can tell, you're saying it's against the forum rules to only quote a select portion of someone's post that you wish to respond to. It is not. If someone posts a long post you don't have to quote the whole thing if you only intend to address one paragraph of it. Likewise, even in a short post, you still only have to address the part you're interested in discussing further, not every point made.

If someone deliberately keeps leaving out portions of your post that refute his or her point and then pretends that you never addressed the issue while doing a victory lap, that would be obnoxious and potentially trolling if done repeatedly and after being asked to stop by the mods, but I've never seen anyone get an infraction for that.

It is against the rules to alter the words of someone's quote to change its meaning and mislead people, though, but that doesn't appear to be what you were talking about, nor did the poster in question do that. If it's something harmless like a "Fixed that for you" response to a humorous post, that's no big deal, but altering the content of a post to change someone's argument is not permitted and can result in an infraction if one ignores mod requests to stop.

As always, if someone is repeatedly causing a problem with a certain behavior and has been asked to stop, that is more likely to draw an infraction than someone doing the same thing one time before being asked to stop.

Is that what you were looking for as far as defining "the line"? You can't always place a specific value or a hard and fast rule on something that's a judgment call.

Now, on to a second issue:
Haha. I've literally called out the producers for their pisspoor direction and characterization with this series multiple times.

Third time I'm posting this;

This is who is mainly at fault for STD; Aaron Harbarts and Gretchen J Berg.

Terrible people to give the keys to the Star Trek universe to. They've turned it to complete shlock.

Like I said, post history. Instead of bringing up stuff already discussed.
Speaking of bringing up stuff already discussed, thanks for mentioning that this is the third time you've posted the same thing. That's spamming and will get you an infraction if you continue. Stop it.

Also, it's really creepy and distasteful that you keep posting the photo of the showrunners in a "These are the people to blame" post and then repeat it over and over again. Knock it off.

Got some issues there, doncha.
But that's ok. it's cool. I came up with something for you.

just call your buddies from Axanar. We'll work something out.

Having read the script for Axanar, i'm pretty sure Garth of Izar would qualify as a Marty-Stu. Even his Mortal enemy ends up loving him.

The only good thing in Axanar is Kate Vernon. I thought she was great as Captain Alexander. I wouldn't mind if she got a berth on Discovery ad a recurring character, maybe as another starfleet captain.

I'd like to see a TOS era Star Trek series made by the Duffer brothers. They seem to have mastered the art of making a thrilling, modern TV series, while simultaneously perfectly capturing the je ne sais qui of an earlier era.

1) When The Emperor activated the “Emergency Transport” why did she go brood in her private residence? Why didn’t she have, like I don’t know, a getaway shuttle prepped and ready, just in case of this very type of situation. Conceivable she still has powerful assests and loyalists throughout the Empire right? So get the fuck out of there woman, gather your forces and live to fight another day..
A better question, why didn't she just have the Emergency Transporter transport all the mutineer's into space?

Damn. I'm forced to agree. They are brilliant.

I don't know...I assumed he may have been transposed with MU Lorca just as the ISS Buran was getting blown to bits, and was therefore killed. That's how it happened in TOS. It took transporters being activated at the same time in both universes with the ion storm there to facilitate the crossover.

I hope he is not. I'd love to see Lorca again.

Isaacs told interviewers clearly that Prime Lorca's fate was intentionally left unclear. Which makes sense, as it leaves options open for the writers. Yes, if Mirror Lorca told the truth about what happened and it works the same way as in TOS, it seems likely he would be dead. But there's no reason to insist that these transitions always happen the same way. I can think of lots of ways to have Prime Lorca show up should the powers that be want to do it.

Sorry guys but a franchise that's gone to the Energy being/extra dimensional/Psychic well as often as Trek has can't look down their nose at midichlorians. Kirk literally got psychic powers from a shot once! But if you have the documentation on the scientific research into the technology that will lead to energy beings and psychic powers, I'd love see it.

Again, I maintain there is a difference between having godlike aliens be the MacGuffin of the week in a fundamentally materialist universe, and deciding that pseudo-spiritualist woo underlies all life in the universe.

Regarding the Mary Sue argument, it's funny, because it reminds me of Game of Thrones. People often accuse Daenerys of being a Mary Sue (or Jon Snow of being a Gary Stu). However, GRRM has been pretty clear that Tyrion is actually meant as something of a self-insertion, which makes him the Gary Stu of the series.

You might break the internet if this goes wide. ;)

Where's the science?

Do you mean in classic Trek? It's damn thin on the ground. But everything in Trek was basically given a naturalistic explanation within existing Trek canon. Any time we meet a "god" it's just an advanced energy being (or maybe a computer). Every unexplained phenomena has an explanation at the end of the day, however technobabble and stupid it may be. Well, almost any - Katras are pretty wooish, but given Vulcans have telepathy (which somehow works in the Trekverse) it's not that incredible to think they could "download memories" into other people.

What do we know about the mycelial network? It binds all of creation together, it somehow is necessary for life to survive, and apparently based upon the Culber visitation the minds of the dead can stick around there. It sure seems like a spirit world to me.

My big complaint is that for Lorca's plan to come to fruition, then a BIG coincidence had to occur. I .

So many people have mentioned variations on this, and that is one thing that doesn't bother me. Remember, Mirror Lorca traveling to the Prime Universe was an accident. He didn't HAVE a grand plan. Once he got there, he worked with what he had open to him to investigate avenues that might get him home. Probably heard about Discovery and worked everyone with influence to get assigned to it because he knew if any guy was going to be able to figure out some weird science stuff that would be useful it was Stamets. Of course there was some luck involved but I don't think it's completely impossible, as it would be had he concocted a bonkers plan while still in the MU. When Mirror Lorca said "I wouldn't come back without a plan," he meant he had a plan for what he would do when he returned, not that he had a plan to go to the PU.

Does it? Often it's just "We moved on beyond physical bodies" and "It's a higher plain". Then there's "Vulcan Mysticism". I'll take Advanced AIs or a machine did it over that crap any day. Better Apollo and his temple and Trelane and his mirror than Q from the Q Dimension.
Culber's the only "spirit" we've seen. So I'm not sold on it being the spirit world.
