Huh?Yeah, because harnessing a black hole is more realistic. Also, voyagers "threshold" was super accurate. Oh! And fluidic space! And 99% of all aliens are bipedal and their sex parts line up. Do we want to open this can of worms?![]()

It's CBSAA. I don't think they're up to snuff in handling this many people on their service, and we're seeing odd things happen that shouldn't be happening. It's not CBS AA's issue, at least not entirely. I've watched it now on both Roku and PS4, and both were in 1080 HD, and I had no lag or issues streaming.
Yeah I think it matches Star Charts a bit, I can spot a Mempa, Qo'noS and Archanis sectors, and they're roughly the same position as in the book.

There's something to be said for gradually fleshing out characters but they should at least be introduced early on.
Here the only character we know is Burnham, who got a great intro for most of the first ep before that was all undermined in a way that still doesn't make sense to me.
But certainly we should know more about the people than we do after three eps.
I'm casting from my computer to my TV via Chromcast with no problems.Yes I know.
Looks pretty good on the CBS app for XBox. Playing the show on an iPad while plugged into HDMI, however, shows a shrunken picture on a big screen for some idiotic reason.
Huh?
I'm a sucker for star charts. It's my history and geography background.
I think we have a decent understanding of our core characters: Burnham, Lorca, Stamets, Saru, and Tilly.
We don't know everything, and that's because we want to get to know them over time, and peel back the layers of them slowly. I find this kind of storytelling far more interesting and compelling than simply getting to know the ins and outs of the whole cast in 2-3 episodes and then just running them through hoops for 7 seasons.
Agreed. To add, I’m going to guess not all of the characters we’ve met so far are going to make it through ONE let alone seven seasons.
A lot of the points, the klingon planets and the federation outposts line up with Star Charts, though that is kind of wrong, as the Star Charts was made from the perspective of the 24th century. I'd assume the Klingon border changed between then and now.
Allegedly the map actually changes between episodes to show how the war is going so that is something to keep an eye out for in later episodes.
Coppershirts. Dead men walking. It ate one of the away team.
Well, that was a dark episode! I still don't know what to think yet, but will keep watching. But maybe it's just me, but none of the characters are likeable. The ship boarding part had an ALIEN vibe to it.
I said it doesn't work. You know because ten year later no one has ever heard of the revolutionary "new way to fly."I'm referencing that fairy dust thing you said, which I'm assuming is referring to the fungal propulsion. I'm saying, how is that less believeable than harnessing the power of a small black hole? Or for that matter that transporters frigen exist. One of the MOST fictional and fairy like things in all of SciFi.
