The planet was named in homage to "Axe" body-spray. That's my fan-theory and I'm sticking with it.

Part of the problem here is instead of saying "that's not my department, I'll have to ask" or asking "you may not be the privy to the information, but I was wondering" many messages here are couched in prickly and/or dismissive language.
If Axanar wants to be a "sunshine" production (transparent), they should accept that some people are going to ask questions in a manner they don't like. One can grit their teeth and still smile.
As to Karzak, yes he's pretty forthright and blunt, but I don't think he's been insulting or rude here. Personally, I've always appreciated his directness even when we've disagreed.
As always, a good way to keep things civil is to always check your messages for unnecessary "you"s.
I agree, and I have no issues with BillJ's question either.

As far as having no issues goes: anyone can type a series of words on a keyboard forming a sentence claiming they have no issues with BillJ's question and then hit post, but it doesn't mean they're not actually planning to stalk him and pelt him with spitballs in brutal revenge for that time he cut in front of them in traffic back in 1986. So I don't know that it would really be defined as having no issues.![]()
I take it from these comments that some and perhaps many of your sets haven't been constructed yet? Since most of the funds from your second Kickstarter have been spent at this point, does that mean your Indiegogo campaign goal of $1.3 million will cover much more elaborate set construction than the $125,000 initially allocated to set construction by your second Kickstarter would have covered, or is it simply a matter of being over budget?

I agree, and I have no issues with BillJ's question either. If anything, I think some people are being overly defensive. Terry is the representative of Axanar in this forum, so it's on him to answer the questions posed, not the other posters, IMO.
I watched the Cage last weekend and it reminded me about the difference in sound FX, such as the transporter, the phaser pistol or the bridge ambient sounds. I'd find it cool if you reused many of these, but I get the feeling you guys might create your own set?
I'm not a fan of Axanar, I don't plan on watching it, I don't plan on supporting it, and I find many fans of Axanar to be some of the most annoying people on the planet - but even the most carefully parsed, pleasantly worded, thoughtfully presented questions can rankle if they are repeated over and over again with only minor changes in content and direction.
If I went on a star trek beyond thread, and said I'm not a fan of Star Trek Beyond and Abrams, I don't plan on watching it, I don't plan on supporting it, and I find many fans of Abrams and Star Trek beyond to be some of the most annoying people on the planet there would be lots of people whinging and moaning.

I don't see why you'd say you're not a fan of "Star Trek Beyond and Abrams" since Abrams has nothing to do with it anymore
I don't see any particular need to be talking about Abrams in the Axanar thread or comparing this thread to other forums under different moderation.
Don't suppose maybe you have a question for Terry?![]()
Is JJ Abrams no longer producing the film?
