I don't get it.
Orci, once more, tries to explain what the hell it means.
the sentence implies the silent “you” we all learned about in English class.
(You) Star Trek Into Darkness
or another rephrase (You) Trek through the Stars into Darkness.
^ ralph, re: your post 225 - perhaps something like "Jornada na Escuridão"?
Today there was an article about Karl Urban in my local paper, and... it added a colon to the title!!!
I think I understand now... it's about people coming late to the theater?
Yes. We have difficulty to find the translation to portuguese. "Jornada na Escuridão" is wrong because "Jornada" means trek as noun, not verb.
It could be translated as "Viajar nas estrelas dentro da escuridão". Too long, but it is correct.
Trek Brasilis will keep the title in English, for now.
I wonder whether Commander Raytas might be able to suggest something. She has some expertise in this area.
How this title will attract to the theaters people that do not like science fiction, like in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Italy, China?
I don´t know if it will be a problema, but there will be dificultty to tranlation outside the Anglo Saxon market.
I suppose there are worse franchises they could have referred to.
Star Trek Into Grayness? I daresay fanfic has that covered, anyway...
That's Earl Grayness. Hot.
It just occurred to me that it'll probably be "Star Trek Into Darkness 3D" in much of the advertising
Star Trek Into Dorkness
At the end of ST XI the Narada is crushed in a black hole. From the Countdown comic we learn that Nero had Robau's body put in the ship's bio-recycling system. We can extrapolate from this that Robau's soul fused with the Narada and is trapped in the black hole. The title alludes to the fact that Kirk and company will have to journey "into" the "darkness" of the black hole to retrieve his soul. This is the only possible explanation of the title.
So.. MORE ROBAU?
Its my head canon explanation unit I see an official trailer.
Where are they going to put the soul once they get it back?
McCoy, as per the norm.
50 Shades of Star Trek?
The better question is, where are they going to put EVERYTHING ELSE once his soul has been released from the black hole?
To me it just seems you could take it as being mindnumbingly obvious
It's space, buttwad. Of course your star trek will be into darkness. I'm pretty sure none of us were expecting it to be a jaunt along sunny beaches
Separate names with a comma.
