Spoiler time.

I'm looking forward to it, yeah its been done before, but I want to see what Stargate does with that kinda story.

The episode about the crew stranded in the past is an hour earlier?

I wish I still credited Skiffy with the cold, calloused sense of humor that would allow that to be deliberate.

That sneak peek was amusing. Thoughts:

* I like how a ship colliding with Destiny as sizable exploding fireball was remarked by Rush as "minor damage." Dude, it's not like it bounced off the shields, the thing should've left a gaping hole in the hull. Given the ship's power issues, having to keep a forcefield around yet another hole doesn't seem "minor" to me. Guess it's just dramatic license from the VFX people.
* It's cool seeing Young commanding a space battle from the bridge.
* Why are they still dealing with the drones? Shouldn't the "drone empire" be in Destiny's rear-view mirror by now? This is a ship that travels from galaxy to galaxy on a pretty regular basis, I find it hard to believe the drones control such a huge swath of this galaxy. Just seems like an excuse for a gratuitous space battle.
* I wonder who drew the short straw and got to have kids with Eli.

Kinda weird to have a big battle sequence like that in the preview, but i will take it.

Um, yes it did.

Should have gone to Specsavers :techman:

I sure didn't see a bounce, I saw an impact. And while you can make out a little bit of the shield glow, it's virtually indistinguishable from the light emitted by the explosion, so it doesn't really look like the shield blocked it.

It is admittedly a poor-quality YouTube video.

To me, it looked like the attacking ship "splashed", either on the shields or the hull of Destiny. I didn't get the sense that the fireball came from inside Destiny. Hence, "minor damage". It could also have been in a closed-off area of the ship and not really matter.

For all of the things wrong with SGU, this is not high on my list of things to complain about. :D

I haven't seen these youtube videos, but it sounds like the people for SGU are giving up on the series. I won't be surprised if SGU goes out with a wimper.

The shields are of the skin tight shield variety on Destiny, it is hard to see them in a ball of fire. If they say it was minor damage, then the impact was minor damage, that is all.

Actually been kinda disappointing, this season has been a decent improvement. They just killed the thing last year, and it never recovered. Take the best episodes of these two seasons, and put them into 1 actual season, might have had a chance...
