Spec scripts?

I just put my second Voyager spec script "Upon Reflection" back on my site, and I was wondering if anyone else here has ever written a spec script for any of the Trek series?

It's a shame they didn't allow any spec scripts for Enterprise when it was on, I had a bunch of ideas outlined. Oh, well. :)

Yes, Bad Mr. Palmer, I submitted two when DS9 was in production. One of them they liked and sent back and told me to re-tool it when Worf came on. I did, and they liked it. They never produced it, which sucks, but I got some good comments written on it here and there. It had an 'aids' alegory element to it that I thought was pretty interesting.

The second one I submitted was 'Kira adopts a wild teenager' who ends up causing problems with Jake and others her age. It was very cliche so I could see why the didn't like it.

But the first one I am still proud of. I thought it gave Bashier a great platform and pitted him against Kira...someday I'll put up here on this site or something.

I wrote a spec script that was produced for TNG, but - rather peculiar, I know - I also wrote one later when I was already working on assignment. It was just a script that I wanted to write, and managed to convince myself that they'd find irresistable if they read it in a finished form.

Needless to say, they found it eminently resistable.

The most interesting spec I've read online was for a "Voyager" episode that would have explained the origin of the Borg.
