She said at a con last year that she was wrong about how she treated Jeri.

I think it's pretty sad that everyone else on the cast got along and for 7 years, Mulgrew only made 3 friends. Too even say that pubilcally is like spitting in the others faces. Besides production reasons, is there any surprise now why there won't be a Voyager movie?

Outside of that, we have some very close acquaintances, but, to call someone a true friend, means you're giving them a certain level of love that isn't something that you should give carelessly or easily.

Of course, we all know she's a melodramatic hound, but I love her, and, to an extent, I think she's right.

She often asks people who interview her, "Who do you love? Who do you really, truly love?" When they ask her what question she would ask so-and-so. When they ask her why, she says, "Because the answer to that shows the character of the person."

That being said, my point is Mulgrew has said multiple times in a round about way that she feels people really only have a handful of good friends. So, if asked if she made any good friends on Voyager, when she says three, she's just being honest.

They know who hung out with what people. I don't think anyone should or would be shocked by her answer.

I haven't seen any of the negative interviews, nor would I want to. I'd rather naïvely imagine the actors relishing their roles. My brother, who barely knows Voyager, immediately took a liking to Chakotay. He would be disappointed if he knew how seldom he was used.

My principal gripe about Chakotay is not his dearth of screen time, background info, or lack of development. Rather, I'd have preferred him to be a much stronger figure. Riker acted like a true first officer, brimming with confidence and often acting independently--and unlike Chakotay, he hadn't even been a leader/captain!

Chakotay, OTOH, seemed extremely meek (except when talking to Torres), and almost always either looked to Janeway for instructions or immediately agreed to whatever she wanted (except in Scorpion and Equinox). I think he should have been a very strong figure, rather than a mild-mannered copilot who had an almost constant look of slightly bemused amusement.

Don't you think it would be hard to swallow for Beltran to play an almost impotent and extremely meek commander who was supposed to have been a bold and daring Maquis outlaw?
