Spoilers So, what do we think of Season 2 now that it's done?

I really dislike the casting of the same actors in different roles, without explaining it properly, or stretching it really, really beyond belief. Adam Soong for instance... I don't really like that there are now 4 ancestors of Data that look EXACTLY like each other...

There are three generations of my family who all look very similar/nearly alike. I look like my father (and have been mistaken for him several times due to early greying hair), who looked like his father who also looked like his.

I'm very sorry for the poor casting choices in my family! We'll have the showrunner fired and I shall be recast as soon as my contract runs out.

Well for one he was afraid of Guinan

Afraid, or shocked at her Pimp Phaser?

S2 gets worse the more I think about it. The opening episode was superb, one of the best opening episodes to start a Trek season. Episode 2 was pretty good too. The drop in quality after episode 2 was startling. Almost feels as if there was a change of writing staff after episode 2. Setting an entire season in the 21st century was a dumb idea. Spending an eternity on Picard's childhood trauma was absolutely bizarre. They must have spent 2 hours just on flashbacks throughout the season. Q's role in this was baffling. A car chase scene that seemed to have lasted an entire episode. Seven telling Raffi they are certain to die before running down gun touting mercs with just a knife. Just one dumb moment after another. What a train wreck of a season that started so well.
