So what are you reading now?

Having finally dispensed with graduate school (for the immediate moment, anyway), I've turned my eye to some pleasure reading. Coruscant Nights III is done, and next up is a Leap by Anna Enquist, a group of six dramatic monologues I was sent to review back in February, and never quite got to.

Patterns of Force has pretty much the same style and quality as the first two in the trilogy. If you want another adventure with those characters, then you should read it. Otherwise, you can safely move on to something else.

I'd pick it up if you liked the first two all right; it's definitely the strongest of the three, and it does the most with the concept of any of them. Things are shaken up a bit, and the characters are pitted against one another in a satisfying way. It also drops the half-hearted detective schtick of the first two.

Reaves still doesn't know when the Clone Wars happened, though.

I just started "The Red King" in the Titan series. I read the first one about 2 years ago abd have put it off as Riker has never been one of my favorite characters, even though the first book was pretty good.

I just finished A Time to Harvest. About to start Stargate SG-1: The Price You Pay. After that is Stargate SG-1: The First Amendment.

Just to warn you, Red King is alot of peoples least favorite book in the series, myself included. But on the bright side, the next three books are IMO incredible.

I've been flying through my catch-up reading. I took some time out to read Animal Fairy Tales, one of L. Frank Baum's lesser known children's fantasies (fairly good), and now I'm on to some comics: today I read Star Wars: Vector, Volume One, Star Trek: Mirror Images, and Star Wars: Legacy, Volume Five.

Right now, I'm reading this thread.

Oh you mean bookwise? I am currently reading The Emerald City of Oz, by L. Frank Baum. I am also reading the Star Trek: Hidden Frontier novel Shades of Grey by Brian S. Matthews. It's actually a very good piece of Star Trek literature. If you haven't read it, and you're a fan of ST:HF, check it out.

Best part is, it's free. :)

Having finished Summon The Thunder last night, I'd love nothing better than to simply jump into Reap The Whirlwind...but I have reading responsibilities for English class that are ignored at my peril. :p I'm able to read a personal book in between each school one though.

I just got The new StarTrek movie novel.I've been wanting to get this book after hearing the positive reviews and comments about the movie.

Coruscant Nights III is done

How was it? I've read the first two and found them mildly enjoyable, but nothing special, and was wondering whether to round out the trilogy.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

I too found the same thing. Read the first two but gave up on it. In fact, I've given up Star Wars altogether. Much better things to read out there.... like Star Trek.

Where do you guys find all the time to read so much?

I just finished school and my summer work has yet to kick in. Also: I'm fairly fast. Also: comic trade paperbacks don't take long to read at all, and neither do children's books from the early 20th century.
