Promises Broken is scheduled to go on sale in November 2009. And thanks for the kudos; your check's in the mail.Just finished reading PROMISES BROKEN, the upcoming 4400 novel by Dave Mack. Not sure when it's due out, but, IMHO, Dave does an impressive job bringing THE 4400 saga to a conclusion . . . sort of.
I really loved that trilogy of books, though I was disappointed with the film adaptation of The Golden Compass (aka Northern Lights for non–U.S. readers).finished The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman, book 3 of His Dark Materials trilogy, last night.

Reading the Orson Scott Card Shadow series-comapnion to the Ender series - there's a guy who I'd love to tackle TrekLit!!!
Orson Scott Card said:Laws against homosexual behavior should remain on the books, not to be indiscriminately enforced against anyone who happens to be caught violating them, but to be used when necessary to send a clear message that those who flagrantly violate society's regulation of sexual behavior cannot be permitted to remain as acceptable, equal citizens within that society. The goal of the polity is not to put homosexuals in jail. The goal is to discourage people from engaging in homosexual practices in the first place, and, when they nevertheless proceed in their homosexual behavior, to encourage them to do so discreetly, so as not to shake the confidence of the community in the polity's ability to provide rules for safe, stable, dependable marriage and family relationships.
