Really? I don't think I've ever heard a good thing about them.^ Nice - I just finished Spock Must Die!, Price of the Phoenix (ugh), Planet of Judgement, and Vulcan! - they're not as bad as you'd think. Except Price of the Phoenix which is maybe a step above slash fanfic.
I thought the two Phoenix books were supposed to be stellar?
Yay Menolly!!!In addition to Orion's Hounds, which is off to a decent start, I've also started reading Wizard's First Rule on my own and Dragonsong with the gf.

Because no compliments for these books exist.
Still reading Paths of Disharmony during my commute.
Simultaneously I've now started to read the eBook Scattered Earth: The Birth of the Dread Remora by Aaron Rosenberg at home (don't have a mobile reading device).
Finished the third Crucible novel, on Kirk. Overall a pretty good series, loved the McCoy book, was 'meh' about the Spock one and liked the Kirk finale.

I'm reading some of Thomas DePrima's A Galaxy Unknown books. I just read the first two, and I'm now a little ways into the third one. It reminds me a lot of the Honor Harrington series.
