Just posted my review of Star Trek: Burning Dreams by Margaret Wander Bonanno. Really enjoyed this one. This was a re-read for me, and it was fun to read it with the portrayal of Pike by Anson Mount in mind.

And the newest Literary Treks is out: Literary Treks 273: Unintended Consequences, in which Bruce and I discuss Titan: Orion's Hounds by Christopher L. Bennett. This novel is still one of my favourites!
I am halfway through Doctor's Orders by Diane Duane. I really love the interactions of Kirk and McCoy with all three of the alien groups on Flyspeck. They are not belligerent, and each party is portrayed as being intelligent while coming from a different perspective. Kirk and the ;At talking together has been particularly joyful. Are there other Trek books (besides more Duane, who I think I've read all of) that have any similar alien contacts?
Started on 1634: The Galileo Affair by Eric Flint.
I think I'd missed this one earlier (I've sure I've read a 1635 one) but I'm enjoying it so far.

Yesterday I decided I was in a comic book mood, so I took a short break from Turn Coat, and Elusive Salvation to read Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vol.2: Enemies Old, Enemies New, written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, with art by Dan Duncan, and Mat Santolouco. It was really good, it had great story and good art.
I've finished Doctor's Orders by Diane Duane. One additional aspect I like about her writing is that she knows that there is no suspense in whether or not the ship or characters will survive in combat. The interest lies in the inventive ways the crew can get out of the situation and the effects the combat has on the characters involved.
I am currently reading Star Wars: The Mighty Chewbacca and the Forest of Fear by Tom Angleberger.

Sounds intriguing! What's that about?
It's called the Country store mystery series that takes place in Indiana people are protesting a resort being built in their town. There's some ruthless people who will do everything to see that it gets built.It was a good story I finished reading it last night. The other Maddie Day mystery books are good too.
Almost done Alan Dean Foster’s Alien Covenant prequel novel. When I was a kid I loved his Star Trek Logs, but this, not so much.
Started on The Trash Haulers by Richard Herman.
