So What Are you Reading?: Generations

I finished reading the Star Trek movie novelization Star trek 4 The voyage home by Vonda McIntyre . I 'm reading now a Mystery No Farm no foul by Peg Cochran.

Harrison Squared by Daryl Gregory. Teenage boy gets mixed up with fishy Lovecraftian mysteries in remote seaside town. I'm enjoying it so far.

After getting through A Choice of Catastrophes and Last Full Measure, which I thought were pretty average.....I have finally taken another step into the Post Nemesis novels. Currently reading one of the books I have been waiting to pick up for about a decade....Taking Wing. LOVING IT.

I finished the second volume of Marvel's Darth Vader comic series on Thursday, and started reading IDW's Star Trek: Captain's Log comic book miniseries. I'm up to the fourth and final issue, Jellico written by @KRAD. So far the series has been pretty good.
The first one, Pike was a nice look at Pike as we saw the aftermath of the Cage, and the incident that crippled him. Having former Yoeman Colt as the Captain of the ship he was on at the end was a nice moment.
The second one was another solid story by the Tipton Bros. focused on Sulu.
I was the most curious about the third one, focused on Harriman, because it was written by Arrowvers writer/producer Marc Guggenheim. It was a nice story dealing with Harriman soon after Generations' prologue and showed him getting over what happened to Kirk and coming into his own as a captain.

I'm re- reading Star Trek DS9 The Big Game by Sandy Schofield. I read this book along time ago I like the Poker game tournament going on at Quark's bar. It reminds of a Ds9 tv episode. The scene in Chapter 4 with Odo catching Quark getting into trouble is well written.

Most recently finished: Thrawn by Timothy Zahn.

It's like Sherlock Holmes as Honor Harrington or Nick Seafort in the Star Wars universe. And that really worked for me. :)

I flipped back over to Star Wars. I'm just over half way through Aftermath: Empire's End. While i'm enjoying all the character stuff, it is very slow so far, compared to the previous two books of the series. After i wrap this up its on to all the other Canon books i have yet to read: Thrawn, Battlefront: Twilight Company, Ashoka, Rogue One Novelization and The Force Awakens Novelization.

Will finish The Red King tonight. My one critique of this book would be the lack of ink spent on any of the core group of characters contemplating (much) what is happening within Neyel space. With the Romulan ships and the old Earth asteroid/outpost they are able to save about 2 million inhabitants. About 2 billion perish as The Red King expands through Neyel space. Would have been nice to see a little more regret/sadness, but this is a minor quibble, as I thoroughly enjoyed both Taking Wing and The Red King. Worthy adventures for the first missions of the Titan.

I finished reading Star Trek Ds9 The Big game by Sandy Schofield. I really enjoyed reading the Poker tournament scenes in the book I liked seeing Odo playing poker with Garak and the Grand Nagus. and Berlinghoff Rasmussen.

I decided to start reading a second, non-Trek book, along with Atonement, so I started Side Jobs by Jim Butcher, the the Dresden Files short story anthology.

I'm reading a Wee dose of death by Fran Stewart. I haven't really liked this book very much. The main character is a real jerky person.
