I can't ever read books one at a time, but instead have several going simultaneously. Currently, I'm reading The Long Mirage by David R. George III, which I'm finding to be a mixed bag, Ron Chernow's Washington: A Life, which is excellent, and re-reading Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade by Diana Gabaldon, which is charming. Once I finish BoB, which will probably be tonight, I'll start Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express.
I pre-ordered David Mack's Control, so it's sitting in my Kindle app, making me feel weirdly guilty for not having started it yet, but my brain just goes, "ew." It's no reflection on the author - I've enjoyed every Mack book I've read - but I dunno, I don't think I could take Section 31 right now.
