I really think we'd better get back to addressing the topic of Uhura, what happens in that particular scene, and whether sexism or misogyny might have been involved in the writing, and steer well away from the more personal "See what you're doing now?" and "Something tells me you don't" and "Sorry, I don't know what universe you guys are from" sort of fencing I'm seeing crop up here more and more.Something tells me that you don't, though.See what you're doing now ?
...
Good idea - let's all stick, henceforth, to things which are substantially about the topic.
Interesting because that didn't start with me, but I don't see you saying anything to Belz who did start it.
Yes, and please apply that to everyone.

If you want to put up a reminder, then you can do that without the appearance of taking sides as a moderator.
Did you happen to miss the part where M'Sharak directly quoted the other poster in his admonition? Or where he said "let's all stick to the topic" which means he was not solely addressing you? There was no taking sides or neglecting to mention the other people involved.
Also, if you wish to argue with a moderator, then take it to PM and keep it there instead of airing your complaints in the topic itself.
Also, I never saw this thread as a "playground," but if you want to close it, then that will be fine by me because very few people seemed to show up for an actual discussion on the topic from my view.
I think plenty of people have tried to discuss this issue with you and come away with varying degrees of frustration as a result. But if we take your interpretation of events as truth, do you think everyone just randomly decided not to have a reasonable discussion with you, or perhaps the reaction you got might have come down to the way your presented your arguments and responded to people? Food for thought and something to consider the next time you start a topic.
In the meantime, after the way this topic started and the way it continued right up to the most recent exchanges, I would agree that closing it down is the way to go.
